I have seen many worst reviews. But this time it was a good management at all. Clean rooms, Food test and hygiene was awesome. Mr Kevin had better understanding of Gujarati tone food.

Overall it is all good this time. Mahi Gate resort is again rising...

The location is perfect, the stay gives us a luxurious feel. The management was humble and they are doing extra for every guest. They arranged bonfire for us when we requested. The evening near riverview was breathtaking. We have read lot of negative reviews before going, we faced some of the issues there but management able to manage the issues and the are doing their job to overcome the shortages.

hotel was neat and clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was amazing and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Very nice kids play area. Best place. Highly recommendable ❤👍

Tldr: Beautiful location, amazing staff, some opportunities to improve.

The good:

The staff and the manager have gone above and beyond all the times that we asked them to. This was way more than 20 times in our stay of 26 people including kids, over 2 nights and 3 days. The staff was always eager to deliver, serve, please, and ensure satisfaction was met. Always. This was absolutely genuine, without any expectations of remuneration. The attitude to acknowledge the shortcomings, and to improve and be better was evident from day 1.

A few examples:

The swimming pool guy diligently cleaned the swimming pool in front of cottages and tents, repeatedly through the day.

The maid staff was always available to hand deliver warm water buckets when cold water snafu because a faulty solar heater happened. The maids were also always available to open locked doors because if lost keys, misplaced keys, in a jiffy. This happened more than once with us at 2 am and yet service was prompt.

The RO guy set up a bon-fire at 3am. Yes. 3 AM so we could remain warm and enjoy our family banter.

The restaurant staff was able to set up a special lunch for us for bhai beej occasion, and allowed us with costs obviously, to create a custom menu, while cooking for the rest of the patrons in the resort.

The manager would often genuinely stop by to ask if he could do better and they did. They were severely short staffed because of payment issues, allegedly, but they still were able to cook very nice meals, for breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. Seriously good tasting meals. The meals will not win a Michelin star for presentation but will win your hungry tummies, anyday.

Now the bad and the ugly:

Sadly the property is only 7 years old and everything is rusty and corroding. This is something that cannot be fixed overnight with a coat of paint. It always takes continuous maintenance and cleaning and updating, and this ia where the team lost the game. The bathrooms are clean but fixtures outdated. The tents look like a shed from inside, simple things like lamps are not hung evenly. The doors dont close well. There are cracks all over in the walls. The nails look hideous. The beds are big, but blankets insufficient and not well kept. The hot water supply is a hit or a miss across different rooms, and the amenities have an appearance of a railway train bogey with shower gel at some places being used for cleaning hands at the sink.

If you are planning to book this place:

Yes. Absolutely, go ahead. The resort has a swimming pool, a wave pool, a kids pool, a water ride pool, a rainbow dance feature, a splash pad, a rain dance feature, an excellent adventure course with very good protection, a Lot of indoor games including TT, carrom, chess, badminton and outdoor games including football, cricket with stumps, ball, bat etc.

In my humble opinion, this place needs to be given the chance to improve. I would urge the manager to actually stay there for a few days and nights to really understand all things that need to improve. This includes hot water consistency, daily room service for basic cleaning, updating toilet fixtures etc.

A major overhaul is absolutely necessary for the property but that cannot happen without the resources that the place needs and hopefully they get the chance to improve what they deserve.

I had a great experience in this resort. Night view and common sitting area was well decorated and maintained. For childrens they have adventures activities also must try with family budget friendly also.

Amazing place... Too good service, activities, place... Everything was just superb... Staff is very helping and enthusiastic. It was a great time and one must visit this place.

Service was very good. Location is on the bank of the river. Neat and clean rooms. Need to work on taste of food.

Best resort all activities are avilable here but due to low popularity the park is getting older n rustier

Overall resort has good location, fair enough food, cottages n rooms are also nice.,yeah but cottage price is high and I don't find it worth the money.

Great weekend place with family n friends though.

There was conflicts between online booking and phone booking, but they quickly resolved it and gave us extra facilities to cover up the loses.
I would definitely recommend to stay there for personal as well as family time. Moreover, you always get privacy with your loved ones.

Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Restaurant. The menu has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting. The staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. There is swimming pool, adventure, and mamy more.we enjoyed a lot. A wonderful mini-vacation!

Hello everyone !! I would like to share my experience ..its an amazing cottage room . I have planned to celebrate my anniversary here and trust me they have decorated nicely .overall my experience was good just because of Mr. Hamza .

Our stay at Mahi WaterGate Resort was an excellent break from daily routine. We stayed in a pinewood cottage from the room location,view and sound from the Mahisagar River were splendid! Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Restaurant. The menu has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting. The staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. There are many attraction like Pool, wave pool, water rides, trekking,etc. In Short A Wonderful Mini-Vacation Spot. Lovely Experience..

Amazing Place
I went for a day picnic there. Absolutely beautiful place.
Very friendly staff. They responded to every query I had before going there. Staff at the place were also very humble.
Location is perfect just besides Mahi river and it includes both mini water park and adventure activities.
Loved it.
Must visit place.

Most importantly the staff is co-operative, especially Manager Mr. Virendra pandya and organiser Miss. Pinky are accurate in follow up and smooth checkin- checkout as well warm welcoming.
