Shiv Sai Dormitory

Simple but clean wand just about a 15 min walk to the train station. Calm neighborhood with several restaurants and some convenience stores nearby. The staff was wonderful! Very helpful in every way maintaining the place clean, giving recommendations for places to visit and eat as well as just having conversations over some chai. This place saved me when I arrived to Vadodara as most places in the area won’t accept foreigners.

Great service. I got food poisoning at a local restaurant and the hostel owner personally took me on his motorbike to see a local doctor to help me out. I was better within 2 days! Cheers!

I didn't actually stay here in the end, however contacted them as I was in a tricky situation with family in India and needed somewhere I felt safe and staff would be helpful for various reasons and the reviews here made me feel this may be the right place.

I spoke to Sandeep and he provided the reassurance I needed and was extremely kind. I am not used to such service in India and did not expect someone to go that extra mile and have the ability to listen and answer my questions as that usually is not the norm in India.

I was pleasantly surprised and although I did not stay here (stayed with family) I knew if any more problems occur with my family whose home I was staying at, I can contact Sandeep and he will be supportive and arrange everything so I am not stranded.

I would absolutely recommend Sandeep on the personal touch he provides and especailly to women who may be in a difficult situation and need a place where they can feel safe.

Stayed here for one night. No complaints. It is clean and well maintained. The owner is happy to help with anything. Also in a good location nearby many restaurants, close to the bus station and easy to get to Laxmi Vilas Palace from there.

Location is best

Me and my friend stayed at the Dormitory for 10 days. The stay was comfortable and the cleanliness was maintained on a regular basis. The timings were flexible. Since there is a small kitchen, it was easy to prepare basic meals for ourselves. The management was very friendly.
