January 2024:

The temple has a very nice architecture. It is good to visit with family and friends.

The place is neat. The government can promote this place by having explanatory boards and information about the history of this place.

Ramappa Temple, also known as the Rudreswara temple, is a Kakatiya style Hindu temple of Lord Shiva. it was constructed in the year 1213 CE by Recherla Rudra—a general of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva. Located in Mulugu, Telangana, It is 66 km from Warangal, 209 km from Hyderabad. Designed by architect Ramappa, it is a fine specimen of Kakatiya architecture. Marco Polo, during his visit to the Kakatiya empire, supposedly called the temple "the brightest star in the galaxy of temples". Ramappa Temple was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Very nice temple showcasing Kakatiya architecture, amazing carvings. But quite ravaged by earthquakes and past wars/plunder. It feels like it will come crumbling down any day. But overall a nice place especially if you are interested in architecture and history.

It’s our Heritage. So many attacked that temple, but even today we can feel the greatness of our kings , sculptors. We have to show these types of places to our children, so that they can know what’s our ancestors are. How they showed our culture our rituals our sanathana dharma, our history in the form idols, sculptures. Today so many tells that , what’s in India. But if we see these types of places we can say and show the world that India is developed country in the art of culture tradition , education, economy, and what not. Thank u for our Archeological department and government for preserving the History of Bharath.

Historic place, build during kakateeya dynasty. This is under the maintenance of the Archaeological survey of India. The temple is Devine with large Shivalingam. The lawn and garden is maintained well. Toilets are very clean and ample parking available. Do visit the Ramappa lake very close to this temple for boating as well to take a dip in the running stream.

Awesome architecture, many things destroyed by invasions. Must visit and understand the history of this place. Beautiful and very big nandi and shiva linga at this place, not completely developed like a temple but as a visiting place and park.

Amazing Architecture!! The Temple is beautifully made. It is a living temple and daily worship is performed by the priest. There are no entry fees for visiting this temple. I highly recommend going in the morning or evening hours, The afternoons are very hot and you won't enjoy it as much. There are many stalls before the temple selling snacks and drinks and other items for children like toys etc. It is a perfect getaway for families.

Peace and calm.. that is how you define this place!! You go in the hot sun to the temple place.. but once you enter the temple it's the cool atmosphere that gives you peace.. that's the magic this temple holds. Shoutout to all the brains of those times for building something so extravagant and splendid.

I was awe struck by the detailed architecture and beauty of this temple. The majestic sandstone structure stands out in a serene locale. The sculpture on the ceiling of the mandapa- WOW!
I just wish people would take more care to not throw trash around. This temple and its premises are maintained very well, with a lot of dustbins around.
It is a bit difficult to get here, unless you have your own vehicle.
You can take the bus to Etunagaram, get down at Janganapally junction and then take a share auto to the temple.
So much to be done for the area. While the temple complex itself is maintained fairly well, so many ruins all around.
