Kaggaladu Bird Sanctuary

Beautiful small village.. just like kokkare belluru, almost all tree in this village is occupied by painted storks. Noticed more than 1000+ birds in feb end March 1st week. Normaly you see painted storks nesting activities from Jan to April.
No entrances fee. You can park vehicle on road side of village and walk arround village area. Very friendly village people. And forest department gaurd mr krishnappa is very humble and explain the about birds activities.

A wonderful place. Located on a remote village near Tumkur it is home to many migratory birds.

Feb to April is the best time to visit. Its an painted stork paradise.

Actually it's an bird sanctuary but due to dishonesty of local leaders it had not became popular till now, as per my visit it's not an tourist place but it's a preferable place to for those who are interested in research about migrating birds. every year the birds "Siberian cranes & painted stark "will migrate to this place at Feb or march and stay there and produce their progeny and goes back at July or September 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Its good place,
the birds come only when there is water in lakes around 15 to 20 kilometers soroundings.
If birds present, its the clear natural indication of richness of water source,
No doubt this upcoming summer of 2018 will be filled with these beautiful birds.

It's one of the best Bird sanctuary in Karnataka. Where the birds comes from Australia in the summer
