Great Sagar Restaurant

I think it is one of the top restaurants in Aurangabad for non-veg food.

We tried to reserve a table, which was refused over the telecon.

When we reached there, a huge crowd was in waiting. More than 40 people. May be because it was a Sunday evening.

Anyhow, we got a table after waiting for half an hour.

The real magic started only after that.

Food was ordered, which came after wait of about 15 minutes.

The kebabs had really good taste. We could feel the taste of wood/coal. The last time we had this taste was while eating shashlik in Russia and Central Asia. 9 pieces in a portion.

The Butter Naan was the softest, aromatic, and tastier than any Naan we have eaten so far. Big size.

The chicken dish was very nice. Although we ordered the smallest size,"plate" of the available sizes, plate/half/full, it was more than enough for three.

All the anger and frustration of waiting to get inside the restaurant was well gone after such a great dinner.

If you love non-veg indian spicy food, this place is a must if you are in Aurangabad.

Tasty and delicious preparations . Kebab platter is a must try. Chicken biryani is to die for. Ambience is pleasant. Captain was friendly, humble and guided us in ordering and recommended the quantity making sure we did not over order. Staff is efficient. Prices are reasonable and value for money. Must visit if traveling to Aurangabad.

The hotel staff recommend this place and boy we were in for surprise. The food is just awesome. The only drawback is that everyone loves this place, and it gets incredibly crowded. However, they make things move fast, and you are seated within no time.
The chicken dishes were just too good. The servers were always ready to help you with very valuable suggestions.

The Qubani is a must try.

Restaurant is mainly famous for it's Non vegetarian food but vegetarian food is also yummy.

Great Sagar Restaurant is one of the most famous restaurants in Aurangabad. It is a great place for dine-in. It is usually quite busy in the evening. There are 2 floors with seating arrangement. In the basement there is a Dastarkhan. We were lucky to have our dinner in the dastarkhan due to unavailability of seats in the normal seating area.
The food is very good in terms of quality, quantity and taste. A-one quality service was rendered despite a fully packed restaurant. Food was served within the stipulated time as promised during order.
The place is famous for its non-veg delicacies but they serve vegetarian options also. Sea-food and Chinese dishes are also offered. Desserts are also available. "Qubani with vanilla ice cream" is a must try dish.
The restaurant has ample parking space available. However the place is not wheel-chair accessible as one has to go through the stairs to the entrance.

I never came across such a restaurant (even in my native place Hyderabad) which offers so perfect North Indian Non-Veg curries like authentic Butter chicken as portrayed in the menu pictures. Its texture was silky smooth with boneless well-cooked chicken shreds in it. Had a mild sweet signature style flavor as it should be in a butter chicken.

Another highlight is that everytime I mention "LESS OIL" while placing orders, they follow it for sure. The butter chicken I ordered was not at all oily/greasy. Just what I wanted.

The tandoori chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled. Was tender and juicy inside. It literally had LESS TO NO OIL making it a perfect diet food for anyone who is health cautious.

Good place with good food. We tried mutton biryani and mutton mughlai with sweet lime water and Shahi tukda. Perfect fulfilling lunch with decent price.

Good restaurant great ambience and good location next to bhadkkal gate specially for non veg lovers fresh and tasty finger licking veg and non veg food a great variety of non veg available chicken mutton fish sea food is served with large potion size at reasonable price.
Chicken biryani mutton biryani chicken Kentucky gravies like chicken zaika,chicken maharaja murg musallam, mutton kheema and fish fingers are my favourite dishes we get here .
And their sweet dish qubani ka meetha is awesome and caramel custard is my son's favorite ,nice place to hang out with friends and family.

I was in Aurangabad for the first time and a friend of mine suggested this restaurant. I was gladly satisfied. The food was too good and staff was very friendly along with the manager Azhar. The ambience was great as well.

We ate here as we were looking for meat dishes and it was fantastic. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. The food was brilliant, in particular the palak paneer but the meat dishes were great too.
