Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) is an autonomous engineering Institute in Maharashtra state of India.
It is affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was established in 1960.
The construction of the college was started in 1957 and was completed in 1960.
Later on, it included the extension building that presently houses the Electronics and Telecommunication Department,
Computer Science Engineering Department & Master of Computer Application Department.
The recently constructed classroom complex houses the classes of first year students of all branches along with Information Technology Department.

The college has six engineering branches namely information technology, computer science, mechanical, electrical, Etc and civil along with MTech and MCA. Have a large auditorium and library. It has a basketball court volleyball court, cricket ground football court. It also has a girls and boys hostel in the campus.

I studied here engineering. Very good infrastructure available. Football ground, volleyball court, basketball court, hostel, are available. You cannot expect much from teachers as they are "government employees". Campus placement is very good, best in Aurangabad. Exam method are good. Cheating in exam is nil.
