This is a place where the three rivers Aruna, Varuna and Godavari meets. Very peaceful place, lots of things to explore here. Various life events from Ramayan has happened here. Book an auto, it will take around 300 rs. and give you a tour of these 21 places in Panchavati and Tapovan, I have attached the list below. Also lots of unique things to shop here. Always bargain while purchasing as they always double up the price before quoting.

Nashik was known by many names. It was known as "Padmanagar" during the Satya Yuga, "Trikantak" during the Treta Yuga, "Janasthana" during the Dvapara Yuga, and finally "Navashikh" or "Nashik" during the Kali Yuga, according to Hindu traditions.
This is the place where godavari unites with varuni and tharuni . so it is called trivenisangam. godavari originates at trambakam and the other two in nashik.

It is venerated as the town of Lord Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana, who spent some time of his exile here. Great poets of yore like Rishi Valmiki, Mahakavi Kalidas, and Bhavabhooti have praised this holy city in many of their works. River Godavari flows through the city of Nashik.

It is believed that Lord Ram had taken a bath at the Ramkund Ghat here. Many famous sages like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu have bathed in her waters as an act of worship.

Sangam is the confluence of three holy rivers Yamuna, Ganga and Saraswathi(underground).
-From the sand beach(near the Fort), you rent a boat. There are several boat operators that surround you to get your business. But a private boat ride to the Sangam and back should cost you in the range of 1.5-2K rupees.
-No motor boats allowed and only row boats. It takes about 30mnts. one way from the beach to the Sangam.
-Once you reach Sangam, the boat needs to park. They ask for 50-100 rupees per person.
-When the boat is fully parked, you get off the boat and enjoy the holy dip. The depth of the water at the Sangam is just above the knee height. It is perfect for all ages and safe too.
-The water was pretty warm even at 7AM. Don't bother changing the clothes after the holy dip. They anyway dry up by the time you reach the back the beach/shores near the fort. Women can just take a beach towel and wrap themselves and dry their hair.
