Another weekend, another trekking destination. ⛰

Huthridurga is situated about 65 km west of Bengaluru. It was built by Kempegowda in the 16th century. Ruined fortifications are still visible on the two hillocks surrounding the village.

ITS A BEAUTIFUL TREKKING POINT. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER FELLOW TREKKERS IN THIS PLACE. IT HAS A FIVE LEVEL FORTS, WHICH HAVE TO BE COVERED FOR REACHING ITS TOP. THERE IS ONE OLD TEMPLE AT THE TOP. BUT THE HILL CLIMBING EXPERIENCE IS SUPERB. IT TAKES 2-3 HOURS TO REACH TOP. WATER AND FOOD TO BE CARRIED. PERFECT PLACE SIMILAR TO SKANDAGIRI.

It's an excellent place for trekking and peaceful place.... Sunrise is super... Best time to visit is morning... Now authority is building stairs and grill for everyone safety...5 🌟 place

Awesome place for half day trip from Bangalore.. you have to leave early morning 5am.. You will really appreciate the view in the top.. Localities are very friendly and really safe place for parking two wheel and four wheels.. Take some food and lots of water.. There is nothing available in the top.. Don't throw waste or plastic and spoil the place..

ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಕರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಹುತ್ರಿದುಗ೯ದ ಕುಂಭಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪುರಾತನ ದೇವಾಲಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 3700 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಲಾಸನಾಥ ಶಂಕರನು ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಪೂಜಾ ಕೈಂಕಯ೯ಗಳು ಶಂಕರೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಜರುಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಸುಮಾರು 80 ವರ್ಷದ ಅಚ೯ಕರು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಹತ್ತಿ ಬಂದು ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ದೇವರ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಿಜ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಂಕರೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರ ಪವಾಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಸೊಣೆಯಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಷದ 365 ದಿನವೂ ನೀರು ಬತ್ತದೇ ಇರುವುದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸೋಜಿಗದ ವಿಚಾರ.
ಹುತ್ರಿದುಗ೯ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಗಿಂದಾಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಕಸದ ರಾಶಿ ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನೋವಿನ ಸಂಗತಿ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹುತ್ರಿದುಗ೯ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಚಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಹುತ್ರಿದುಗ೯ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಇಂತಹ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಪಾವಿತ್ರತೆ ಹಾಳಾಗದಂತೆ ವತಿ೯ಸಿ ಪರಿಸರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿ.
