Very nice and peaceful place. Can relax here. Parking and toilets are available. A small souvenir shop is also there at entrance. Do also visit the Papnash lake behind the temple.

Very calm temple near Papnasha lake. Very nice Shivlingam inside the temple, posting an image outside of the temple. Pujari is available, and helps with abhishek if you request.

It is the temple of The Lord Shiva. Beautiful temple and very calm and peaceful surroundings, it's nice place to visit with family and friends. We can spend time peacefully. Best environment around the temple but here some of infrastructure facilities are not available.

Located in a quiet area full of nature. This is very historical temple of Lord Shiva. Do make a visit if you are traveling to Bidar.

Papnash Temple Overview

Papnash Mahadev temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Bidar district of Karnataka state in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built during the Rashtrakuta period in the 9th century AD. Papnash Shiva Temple is situated in Bidar district in Northeast Karnataka.This temple is located in a beautiful valley. There is a large pond at the foot of the temple which is constantly fed by a natural spring. This pond is known as Papnash.The Papnash Shiva Temple is located near the Bidar-Udgir Road. There is a bus station about two kilometers away which is connected to Bidar city from where other transport options can be taken.

Papnash Temple is a Shiva Temple situated in Bidar district, Karnataka. It is believed that the idol of the temple was installed by Lord Rama on his way back to Ayodhya. The original temple was lost and a new temple was built at the ruins of the ancient temple.
