One of the busy rail station which connects entire north East of India. Located nearby the river called Bhambhaputra, close to Nilachal hills. This station is the important junction and very busy traffic causes most of the trains late.

With the passage of time it has become so clean and tidy. Workers are working like busy bees. Cloak room and waiting hall are the best part. But, the steel chair is very uncomfortable to sit on. Restaurant foods are also somewhat reasonable. It's really good and the Guwahati railway is well appreciated.

Guwahati Junction has one of the best Platform 1, I have visited in recent years.
And if you are hungry then just get out of the junction, there is a restaurant from where the attached pic has been taken, you will get great food at an affordable price. I Enjoyed chicken fried rice with soup😍❤

I had an amazing experience when I reached the station.Station entrance was awesome with colorful illumination. Inside assam culture was illustrated in the form of sculptures and also displayed the pics of our great war heroes who sacrificed their lives serving our motherland.
