Chandragiri Fort in Andhra Pradesh is a historical treasure that takes you on a journey through time. The fort's well-preserved architecture, with its imposing stone walls, moats, and intricate carvings, is a testament to its rich past. The Raja Mahal, now a museum, showcases artifacts, paintings, and sculptures, providing insight into the region's heritage. The view from the hilltop is spectacular, allowing you to appreciate the surrounding landscapes. While the site may not be as well-known as some others, it offers a tranquil and educational experience for history enthusiasts. A visit to Chandragiri Fort is a step back in time and a hidden gem in Andhra Pradesh.

They have stock up real antique things inside the fort. It's a thing to watch for.
Do visit and also you can have photos here outside the palace not inside.

One of the very least known, least explored place near tirupathi. This is a very very good fort with a huge complex around and nice surroundings with a huge pond, outdoor garden seating and very good museum inside. A must visit place I would recommend to everyone visiting Tirupati next time. I loved my time here!

First of all this is not a fort. This is a palace converted to museum with mainly stone carvings and some weapons. The fort structure is uphill and the road is closed.
It is a good place to spend time with family. You better have your own vehicle to reach here as bus stops at the highway then you have to take an auto to the museum and in return journey it is difficult to get auto. The distance from where the bus stops under the fly over to the museum is around 2km.

Note: Closed on Friday

I absolutely loved the time spent here. It's not that far from the city and if you have time to visit and explore this place, please do.
I really like visiting museums, plus, it's not that huge to tire you off.
It's a good hangout place - with kids, friends , family or even a date. The greenery and tall trees are really an add on.

One of the best fort I have visited so far. It looks stunning still now in good condition. Well maintained.
There are several other forts on the top of the hill but it's not allowed to go and visit one have to take special permission for that.
The overall area is green and there is a small pond. They do conduct night light show.
On Friday the fort is closed.
For entry ticket you have to pay 15 RS and 5 Rs separately for museum charge.

Chandragiri fort is half a day picnic spot near tirupati. You can see raja mahal and rani mahal from the times of King Krishnadeyaraya. It also seems to be a good destination for pre-wedding shoots. Cleanly maintained

Good place to visit. The Fort, museum, and park are well maintained. There is no waiting in the entry and you will not find too much of a crowd. You can view all over the place very slowly and peacefully.

Its a pleasant place. I think a guide is needed to explain all the history and about idols, weapons etc.

If you are down and want to spend some quality time with yourself come and spen yourself at the fort.

Fort is now well maintained than few years ago. Friday is a holiday for the museum. Greenery part is good. Rani Mahal is not in good shape. Location wise it is close to the highway.
