Kanchan's Nest Homestay

Terrific Stay!!
Although it was a short trip. I loved the warm hospitality of the staff and the owners. My every need was taken care of. Traveling with a small child to the property made it even more convenient.. As they arranged every thing that we needed.

Kanchan nest is located very near to airport but it's is uphill so better to opt tempo to reach it ,you can reach their by walking also, care taker pankaji is very helpful person, after checkout he allowed us to keep language because our flight is around 3pm , in the mean time me and my wife visited to Ross Island .

Excellent homestay, caretaker is with good manners.
Gives homely feel with good food.
Just 1 km from airport.
Only con is steep up-hilly road.

Managed by really good people. Gave a homely feel.
Rooms are really really really clean, food is good (above average).

The whole place is well maintained.

Located just around 600m to 700m from Airport but you might need an Auto/Taxi to reach as it is located sort of Uphill

We took their terrace room which has great view, is airy and spacious. Very clean and well maintained property. Care taker Prashant is very polite and helpful. Just walkable distance from airport if you don't mind walking on a very short steep slope. They provide you autowalas and taxiwalas contacts too who would come to pick and drop if you don't want to walk the slope. A great and reasonable place to stay in Port Blair.

Calm and pleasant place. Near the airport. Service is good. Food is also good .

Good very spacious clean rooms.Owner was freindly.some steep walk to hotel.But view is scenic from the hotel.

This place is within very close proximity to Airport. The property is very neat and clean. All the staffs are very polite, decent and we'll behaved. They are always ready to extend any kind of support to the guests. Wish to visit again here.

Economical, clean and a great place for vegetarians as one can get homely and hygienic food here...

Amazingly clean rooms, beds, linens and toilet. Very helpful and polite caretaker and host. Pricing was also in mid range and value for money. Just opposite airport gate so no need to worry about catching an early flight.

Only negative is that it is above a hilly area climbing which may be very difficult for those with impaired legs.

6. Staff guide you in most of cases.
7. They don't provide any other tour related services hence you won't be asked for any offer and services.
8. It is almost at centre hence your total travel will be less.
Cons: It is on hill so autos won't drop you and if u have luggage you will tired.( Once you reach there your luggage will taken to your room by staff)

At an affordable cost you get excellent room. It is 1 min from the airport. The staff are so cooperative especially Mr Roy. Highly recommended for staying with family.

Our group stayed in kanchan's nest for 2 days & from the very 1st day, we felt like we are staying with our own family. They have such a beautiful homestay with lobby, kitchen area. Their rooms are extremely neat & clean. You will not have any hygiene issues. Rooms are spacious, AC is working. You can easily access to kitchen area if you need anything. Also they give us pick up & drop too from the airport. They didn't charge anything for additional things. They are extremely helpful & treat you like a family. The homestay is a 5 minute walk from Port Blair Airport. The property is beautiful with clean & comfortable rooms. 2 rooms share a lounge area equipped with sofas and a desk. There is a long common balcony with a beautiful view. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, television, and a clean washroom with geyser. A very affordable and pretty place if you are looking to stay near the airport to catch an early morning flight.

This homestay sure is nearest to the airport, but is situated at a huge slope. So make sure that you are okay with going up and down the slope when needed. Other than that, this one is highly recommended when it comes to homestays near the airport.

me and my mosi stayed here in port blair for two days , kanchan's nest was worth the stay , affordable with good and comfortable stay also the food taste good , felt like home . the staff and service was very good . defintaly revommended . if i come back to port blair again i will stay here ❤

Clean rooms & surrounding is calm. This property is walkable distance from airport. If you have flight early morning, it is must try.
Host & staffs are very polite , check on every detail about stay. All the best team 😊

Excellent Place with wonderful people.
The first impression I got when I reached here.
1. Most important point is it's very close to Airport no need to take a cab or auto.
2. People at Reception are very supportive and they will even help you to get auto or organize your next trip plans.
3. Food is very good at affordable price.
4. Rooms are very clean, Bathroom is clean no problem at all. AC and other stuff well functioning.
5. Homestay host are very polite and helpful people.
For travellers on budgeted trip it's win win situation to stay here.

The stay was nothing short of excellent. The welcome drink was amazing. The caretaker, Mr. Pankaj, was extremely helpful. The rooms were absolutely amazing. The bathrooms was very clean. Most amazing was the food cooked by Mr. Pankaj. Mr. Pankaj also helped fulfill our small requests. Without any iota of doubt, I am going to book my stay here next time when I visit Port Blair. Also, the property is at a walking distance from the airport. The access to the property is through a steep road, which is manageable. Overall, it was a delightful stay.
