Beautiful Airport at a Beautiful Destination..
An airport is meant to be one of the ways to enter a Destination and imagine seeing such a great airport is a pleasure to your eyes..
It's maintained pretty well and has a good seating capacity along with the food courts beside you..
They do have lounges too which are maintained pretty nicely..

Port Blair Airport, an essential travel hub in the Andaman Islands, has recently seen significant upgrades in its infrastructure. These improvements aim to enhance the travel experience, facilitate easier business operations, and improve overall connectivity for the island.

Beautiful place and wonderfully located on the eastern edge of the island. When the plane takes off, you can see the whole view of the island and actually appreciate the beauty of this place. The airport is well maintained however the only problem is the roundabout way to reach the boarding gates which is very confusing due to the lack of proper sign boards. Keep in mind that the auto-rickshaws will charge extra money for taking the rickshaw inside the airport entrance.

The airport is new, neat and clean. Decent facilities. It has been decorated based on local culture.
Some reasonable price food options are available inside the airport.

Very clean with room to expand when needed, only 3 luggage carousels.
There is a gov run prepaid taxi which is inexpensive. Since there is no taxi rank, it had to be this.
Flew in on the Boeing 737Max 😩
Paid extra attention to the safety demonstration.

It is a very beautiful airport. Is very attractive. It would not look like it is inside India. It will look as if it is from outside the country., it is absolutely gorgeous!

Veer Savarkar International Airport is located in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. It is named after Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a prominent freedom fighter and politician in the pre-independence era.

One of the coolest airports we have ever seen . The airport looks like a shell from above , excellent maintenance by the staff here . Even though the airport is small , you will enjoy the ambiance.

We visited Andaman in December. We just loved the place. The airport is quite good. The interior is very good.

Airport of Port Blair. To reach Andaman Archipelago this is the main airport. Service is very good. Check in and security process are very swift. But photography and videography inside the airport is not allowed as Indian Navy and Air-force use this airport regularly.

Lots of improvement, new shops opened nice seating arrangements for travelers and good security and nice parking place, wheel chair arrangements are good, today I traveled from port Blair to Hyderabad.

It's pretty confidential and surrounded by so many csif because it is an defense airport. That airport is made like a shell shaped. So pretty.
Also people are very nice.

New Airport is in town. Would be convenient if they have dedicated taxi stand with fix rate. Looking forward to see more frequent flights from north & West state.

This is definitely a good airport for the size of the islands and the population. Quite big and impressive

Great interior, beachy feels inside the airport. It wasn't crowded like most of the airports.

The new airport terminal is well equipped with advanced technologies, beautiful designs as well as spacious interiors with decent amount of seats catering to enough passengers at each gate.
On arrival, take the escalator up, to the conveyor belts, and exit out later.
On departure, there's a CISF luggage scan, followed by airline scan and plenty of seats as well. Quite a few escalators in the building. Smoking room available. Gates have good announcement facilities. 5-6 shops are there for food, gift items etc. A miniature model of the airport is also there for decoration, just after security check.

The Beauty of Veer Savarkar International Airport is stunning. It's better than other Airport as I feel. Coz the decency of every people is enough to make it. Waiting area is so much big that even many can sit together without hassle . From Flight Ticket to Ship ticket all available at your reasonable price so no hassle and no worries about where to go and when to go loop. Veer Savarkar International Airport and domestic airport located 2 km south of Port Blair and is the main airport of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India. Originally known as "Port Blair Airport", it was renamed in 2002 after Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who had been detained in the Cellular Jail in the city for 11 years during India’s freedom struggle. It operates as a civil enclave, sharing airside facilities with INS Utkrosh of the Indian Navy.

Under army. Well maintained. I saw many pictures of runway and planes on Google maps loaded by many people. I don't understand, how people could take pictures as it is restricted and penalized if found taking pictures. People don't follow the rules. This airport is under army and hence restricted. One should not take pictures here. By self discipline.
