All are very nice and good but they don’t like to answer any type of question if you ask 😂😂

As like government work so you can understand that if they will answer you something that will be inhuman and against of nature 😜😜

But over all they all are very nice with beautiful faces

One of the fastest PSK with excellent staff. They are helpful and understanding also this PSK has many counters and they do their work really fast had a nice experience.

It's good service provider don't have too much time simple.. waiting room & employees are really co-workers friendly

You generally enter a Government office with preconceived notions and in my case it was the same.

I visited to renew my passport and at the very first desk I was asked for something which I wasn't prepared for, though the desk person guided me to the AMAZING in-house printing guy and I must say haven't seen anybody so good and fast with their job, he helped me to download the form and printed it via whats app while doing 5 other things.

I went up for further procedure and I was called as per my token and again was asked for something which I wasn't prepared for but AGAIN I was guided in the right direction.

Overall with the help of the entire staff I managed to finish up everything and it was 6:00 pm, the office shuts at 5:00 pm but they waited for me and helped me to sort out everything.

I walked out with a change in my perspective about Government offices, and thank you PSK Kanpur for doing it.

Located conveniently very next to Vishal Mega Mart. Services are strictly offered by appointment only. Better to show up at exact reporting time for queue delays.

The process for applying Fresh/Renew Passport is very simple. You can simply apply on the official website of Passport Seva Kendra from your Mobile/Desktop. You can visit the Passport Seva Kendra at the appointment schedule date which is being provided to you for your document verification at PSK.
Bring your all original documents along with photocopy at PSK. You will be directed for your passport accordingly at PSK by the Assistants. They will guide you for the next process accordingly.

Address verification waived for passport application process

Passport applicants will no longer be called to the police station, nor will they have cops at their door for address verification.

The Ministry of External Affairs has waived off the address verification in the police report. With the new process, police need not call applicant and visit his/her house for any enquiry.

"Several applicants have said the cops harass them. This delays the process. So, the MEA has relaxed the norms. The contact between an applicant and the police has been dispensed with. Police have to check the criminality angle and revert to RPO without making any contact to the applicant.

This will be done by checking the police records. MEA has tried to address the complaints of police harassment in police verification. It was started on June 1 as a pilot project and we held meeting with police to explain the new changes in the police report," Neelam Rani, Regional Passport Officer said.

"The ministry believes that only a few are involved in forgery and for them, we should not put others in a difficult situation. We will be taking measures to prevent those," Rani said when asked if the waive off would lead to a security lapse.

RPO Ahmedabad recorded a 22% growth in 2017-18 with a total of 6,43,000 passports being issued in one year as against 5,27,000 in 2016-17.

Interestingly, applicants can now apply for a passport from anywhere in the country.

The government announced that an individual can apply for a passport from anywhere in India irrespective of the person's residential address.

To make the process easier, a mobile application, mPassport Seva App, was also launched recently.
