Awesome food, try idly / dosa with chicken curry. Great ambience. Excellent strong tea for highway dive. A best stopover on Chennai - Bangalore highway and very courteous staff.

With great cultural ambience, the hotel is spectacular for eyes. Food quantity is more than sufficient. The south indian biriyani, parota, and chicken fry became my favorites. Hope the Tamil, Keralam and Andra styles are served, we can see the combination of 7 spices...

This is one of the best restaurant at Vellore, very tasty dishes and good ambients
All the non Vegetarian dishes are pretty good,my favourite dishes are Erachiputtu and Naadankozhicurry among Kerala dishes
And among Karnataka dishes Korikembu as a starter,NeerDosha is yet another good dish,appam ,porotta and chappathi all are tasty as well...
Tea here is very good and I strongly recommend it

Another restaurant opened in Vellore with a different flavour. It's completely south indian restaurant with variety of options to choose from Veg and non veg menu. One of the best thing is it's ambience which will give you feeling of eating in old south indian home.
They have also tried to use all the old traditional items to decorate the restaurant. I specially liked the black round shaped switches which you only find in very old houses.
Overall, you can go to this restaurant to enjoy the food and ambience both.

Actually went there for dinner on two successive nights on 30th& 31st January. Tried multiple dishes ranging from crab to prawns to fish and mutton. Also tried some vegetarian fare. All quite delicious. The only thing that I felt little unhappy about was for gallons of gravy, actual fish or prawns are too few. Taste excellent. Decor great. Service wonderful.

Wonderful place. Beautiful ambience. Very good service and extremely tasty food. Price might seem a little high but it's worth every penny.. must try the non veg thali meals. Sambar with chicken was the best there. They even have a transparent kitchen which ensures hygiene. As simple as the hot water is served in an authentic way with spices added to aid digestion. Even the finger bowl had lemon and rose petals as well. A total 5/5 for this place.

Southern masala gave me a home feeling with varieties of delicious southern dishes....

Though I have not eaten at the restaurant, I'm thoroughly satisifed with what I have had from them through Swiggy. It is very authentic and the rustic flavors make you feel as if you are having the food in the lush rivers in Kerala or besides the opulent hills in Karnataka.

The malabar chicken biryani, sambar rice, and the vegetable cutlet was stupendous to say the least. Though I'm not a fan of biryani, I liked the tender children, the ghee poured on the rice, and the side dishes provided. The attention to detail is what bought me.

I order the sambar rice from them at least once a month. The same with the biryani. I will definitely try other dishes from Karnataka and Kerala. I find the Tamil Nadu dishes very spicy and not to my liking. As I said, the dishes are made with genuine spices and maintain their originality.

They have lived up to their expectation of providing you with the unique flavors of Southern cuisine. I highly recommend them for those wanting to try out the different dishes from our neigbboring states.

This southern restaurant is an authentic experience in a quaint ambience. The area downstairs is decorated tastefully with wooden chairs and swing seats that remind one of grandparents' homes. The food is even better - appam, dosai, curries that are evocative of home-cooked food in the south. Their desserts are delicately flavoured and not overly sweet, a perfect end to a perfect meal !

The best place in vellore to taste the real south Indian food. Myself and four of my friends visited while on our way to Bangalore. Taste was awesome. Ambiance was too good. I highly recommend.

Very Nice Place a must visit restaurant in Vellore as they have wide variety of mangalorian, Kerala..etc food. Ambience is authentic old style and goes very well with the name, their service was impressive & must call out the way they greet their guest and take cares. Must Visit!!

We reached the place around 9:55 pm. With only five minutes left for the closing time, we doubted whether service would be provided upon arrival.
We were received with full smiles and not a single staff was hesitant to attend to our needs.

The ambience of the place is so good. Especially the way of celebrating birthdays. Food is really awesome from a south Indian cuisine. The only regret is serving time of the food can be made a little sooner.

An amazing place for South Indian cuisine. The kerala food is cooked by chefs from God's own country hence it tastes pretty good. The Tamilian food can be improved to a great extent.
Service is very promt, staff are really friendly and they converse is English, Malayalam and Tamil. The Interiors give out a very homely vibe. Good place to dine with family and friends.

Wow.. Didn't expect.. Excellent taste.. Mutton kola and thalassery biryani are Must!! They also have some dish that has parota mutton gravy chicken wrapped in banana leaf and grilled.. I want to try that someday.. Ambience is very good.. Nice music and calm..

The ambience is good and the food caters to authentic southern dishes. The interiors are not far left behind with an insider's view of thazhvara veedu giving it an mystic old world charm.
