Great place to chill with your friends and family. It is best to come with your own transport. Lovely place for kids to enjoy. But take care of your belongings from Monkeys. If you need adventure trekking, try to go to the top of the falls for a better view. Must visit place!!!!!!

I have visited this place thrice in this year. This place become the most lovable place near Chennai. First time I go there on January 1st week water flow is good with less crowd. Second time visited around August when the flow is too low but the check dam like pool is full of water you can have there only. And lastly visited December 31 first where the water flow too fast enjoy mostly the last time and explored new places this time.

Beautiful place to visit with friends.

Rocks are hard to climb at the end.Need to be a little careful while stepping into the rock and waters. There are some broken glasses as well in some places. The atmosphere is so pleasant and greeny.

The water is crystal clear in so many places. There are small small beautiful ponds and falls like places on the way to bath.

Overall a good trekking experience to enjoy with friends.

Tada Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Tada village, 85 km from Chennai📵. The falls cascade down a series of rocks, creating a pool🏞 at the bottom. Tada Falls is a hidden gem💎, perfect for a day trip from Chennai. The falls are beautiful and the surrounding area is lush and green. There is a pool at the bottom of the falls where you can swim or cool off. The falls are not too crowded on weekdays, so you can relax and enjoy the scenery. If it's your first time, you will definitely going to enjoy it. There are a lot of monkeys🐒, so be safe with your belongings . Trekking up and down 3 hours ( depends) from the parking lot🚳. there is no signal jio🆘 , Airtel📶 got signal sometimes.

8am to 4pm
Entry Fee per person Rs.50
Bike Rs.50
Car Rs. 300
Canteen Facilities- Yes (but limited)
Date Visited: 13-Jan-2024

Visited Tada Waterfalls from Chennai around 12 pm. Went directly to the falls which is around 3 km distance. The path is good for 2 km and then you have to really trek through rocks (small, big, streams) to reach the falls. There are two places it’s apt for families one near entrance and another after a Kilometer away. It’s best visited during monsoon mostly a week after good rain. All in all had a good time visiting Tada falls.

Do and Don’t
Lot of Monkeys and they are ferocious. They will grab your food or plastic bags if you take it in the hand. So eat outside where you enter from main road or in the car. Monkeys will not leave unless they have all the food you have in your hand. I lost two biryani’s and a biscuit packet one while carrying and one while eating near falls. Hard lesson learned.

Tada waterfall, located just 80 kilometers from Chennai. This natural wonder offers not only the beauty of cascading waters but also an adventure-filled trekking experience. The waterfall is divided into several spots, the first of which is a 5-foot-high pond. To reach the second and third spots, you'll need to embark on a challenging one-hour uphill trek, navigating rocky and root-covered paths.

The journey is demanding, so it's essential to be physically prepared, especially if you have any mobility issues. The terrain can be steep and uneven, requiring effort and stamina. However, for those up for the challenge, the rewards are worth it.

The initial hours offer pristine waters and fewer visitors. As the day progresses, the crowd increases, impacting water cleanliness. To fully enjoy your visit, it's advisable to bring your water bottle or purchase one at the entrance, as you'll be walking long distances and climbing rocks.

Tada is a peaceful retreat, perfect for nature lovers. However, be cautious with food around monkeys. It's best to visit during the rainy season for a more vibrant experience. The entry fee is reasonable at 50 rupees per person or 200-300 rupees for bikes and cars.

This place is a hidden gem for trekking enthusiasts, offering an opportunity to connect with nature, swim in fresh water, and explore pristine waterfalls. Remember that safety is essential, as stones and rocks can be slippery.

Tada provides a unique one-day getaway with family and friends, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world. A visit here promises not only awe-inspiring views but also a chance to escape into the heart of nature. Just be prepared for the trek and mindful of your surroundings, and you'll create lasting memories.

I recently had the opportunity to visit a magnificent waterfall, and the experience was truly awe-inspiring. The waterfall itself was a sight to behold, with its cascading waters and a mesmerizing display of nature's beauty. The water was crystal clear, reflecting the surrounding lush greenery, creating a picturesque scene that was straight out of a postcard.

In addition to the breathtaking views, the trekking experience to reach the waterfall was enjoyable. The trail provided an opportunity to immerse oneself in nature, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness. It was a great way to connect with the natural environment and appreciate the wonders of the outdoors.

However, it's important to note that the trekking path could be challenging for some individuals, especially those with any leg problems. The terrain might be steep or uneven at certain points, requiring physical effort and stamina. It's advisable for those with mobility issues to exercise caution and assess their abilities before attempting the trek.

Overall, if you're up for an adventure and appreciate the beauty of nature, this waterfall offers a great experience. The stunning views, crystal clear water, and the trekking journey make it a memorable outing. Just ensure that you're physically prepared for the trek and take necessary precautions if you have any leg problems or mobility concerns.

Tada Waterfalls deserves a solid 5-star rating for its breathtaking natural beauty. The place is a true testament to the wonders of nature, with the falls being a spectacular display of its inherent charm. The water, crystal clear and refreshing, adds to the enchantment of the surroundings.

However, it's essential to note that, despite the awe-inspiring beauty, safety measures at Tada Waterfalls are a bit lacking. Visitors should be prepared to take responsibility for their safety. While the natural pools and cascading waters are captivating, it's crucial to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines.

To enhance the overall experience, authorities could consider implementing clearer safety measures, including informative signages and designated areas. This would ensure that visitors can revel in the beauty of Tada Waterfalls without compromising their safety.

In conclusion, Tada Waterfalls is a natural haven that earns its 5-star rating for its sheer beauty. While safety precautions could be improved, the allure of this place makes it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, reminding us to appreciate and safeguard these natural gifts.

One of the most beautiful place but have to go by bad rods to reach the place. Then have to trek for around 2-4 kilometres on the way there are so many so many spots to take bath in the stream. There is check dam where people will take bath but we can go beyond the check dam and see some more places too to take bath water level till our neck level. The entire stream of water is crystal clear and one can see the ground from 5 feet of water level. The entire stream is full of rocks and no sand made the water crystal clear. Most recommended place to visit once.

I have visited this falls twice int he last one year. It is the perfect one day getaway place for Chennai residents. The falls and the way to it can be described as 'beauty at its best'. Charges are there for vehicle and for each person. On your way to the falls entry gate (around 2-3 kilometers distance is there from gate to parking area near falls), on your right side you can see a magnificent large lake. I think the falls waters fills up this lake. The falls is inside the forest and is safe for bathing.

Excellent place for a family picnic. Needs to bring food from home. only one shop is there near the parking area with little snack items and lunch only veg meals, however we can't come back for food point for the food parcel. Little road issue for vehicles to reach the Nearest point of falls/ up to parking area. For cars Rs. 300 &per head Rs. 50. Need to walk 1-1.5 Kms to reach the spot after that 1 Km ore Km to reach another point and 2 more Kms to reach falls area which kids can't go there, only young people can go. From the beginning on both sides water flow will be there where we can also enjoy it.

This is one of the best places to hangout in the weekends and best place to visit within a day and come back if you go there the first hour the water will be very clean and there will be less people you can enjoy as much as you can
If you delete then the regular crowd and the local people will come there and it will be very congested on the water will get dirty

Go there with your own water bottle or buy it in the starting point what the is very important as you have to walk very long distance and you have to climb use rocks so go with water

Best gateway to spend a time with friends and family. Have so many small ponds with a clear water. If you able to trek more you can see more small falls and ponds.
