CRPF : The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the premier central police force the Union of India entrusted with maintaining internal security took care of the airport and surroundings!!..
IAF commando force took care of the runway and their bunker, helipad and fighter aircraft.

A little bit chaotic but no different from the average Indian airport, however this terminal was a surprise. Although small, it functioned smoothly and had plenty of quiet areas to sit, definitely well run and and an enjoyable experience.

Excellent work is performed by the RCDU ( Directorate of Airports Authority of India) for the installation of DVOR/ DME facilities. Now the DVOR / DME Navigational facilities is handed over to Airforce. This airport is at very important strategic location since it is connected to the Chiken neck of India. It’s an important connectivity for going to Sikkim and Darjeeling hill station. This airport is located near Siliguri town.

The airport is small but well managed. You can easily get essential items and food after check-ins.
Free Bus service is given for boarding and de-boarding airplanes to the passengers.

Nice airport. Well maintained and kept clean. Friendly people. Cute shops and kids will enjoy the shopping. Small Airport but caters mostly to the Entire Northeast. They have improved drastically over the years. Sometimes too crowded. Maybe they can plan expanding the space. Appreciate all the effort by the airport authorities.

It was a lovely place to be there. They haven't modernized it so much yet but the flight traffic is quite decent there. You will see atleast a flight in every 25-30 min. All the major operators are operating from this airport. Above all it is managed by Indian Airforce so it has different fame. The city itself is a defence base, and the weather conditions and other things are too awesome. The only cons with the airport is it is inoperative in the night due to lack of infra and as per the current crowd they need to expand the capacity. The developments are going on but it will take some time.

One of the beautiful & decorative airport in West Bengal, India. Neat & clean.All stuff are almost professional.Luggage management system are satisfied me, but take more time in boarding.Flight time & schedule almost ok & timely. Total three times I used this airport to go domestic in India.

At present the airport has huge traffic. To cope up with this necessary measures has been taken. There are there location where security checking has been conducted. Smoking room has been added to this airport after long waiting.

Bagdogra international airport located in siliguri in West Bengal, India is a gateway airport that connects indian towns to the North Eastern region of India. Darjeeling, queen of the Himalaya is about 3 hours of back breaking car journey from here. However, the airport can be maintained better to ensure efficiency.
Overall a very good international airport if one is visiting North East India.

Bagdogra International Airport, also known as Siliguri International Airport. This airport is good if traveling to Darjeeling Or any place is Sikkim as Pakyong is not operable all the time. It is a army airport so no photography is allowed. Food option is very less inside and only couple of them outside of airport.

One and only Airport in North Bengal and staff's behavior is really good and helpful. They'll help you if you ask them anything... Their service is well arrange. You can talk in english,Bengali,Hindi or Nepali, in whatever language you feel comfortable.

Fully operational airport and one of the most important also for North India as it is in Siliguri. It is actually an IAF airbase where also custom flight runs. It is also the gateway of many northeastern states. You can get Almost all major domestic flight from here. But the airport needs really some improvement and upgrades. Although staffs behavior is really good they are very polite. You can speak here in any language also in Nepalese.

The airport has a single domestic terminal for both arrivals and departures. It's relatively small but well-maintained,The airport offers basic facilities, including a few shops, a small cafeteria, and car rental services. While it may not have extensive dining or shopping options, it serves its purpose for a regional airport The airport is generally clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable travel experience.

Bagdogra airport is very small airport in Bengal Around 30 mins away from Siliguri.
Its a defence airport.
It is one of the riskiest airport for pilots due to its wheather.
Foggy wheather makes it difficult for pilots to land and hence many flights in the morning are delayed.
Bagdogra is nearest airport if you are travelling to Darjeeling, Sikkim, Mirik, Nepal etc etc..

Bargain for taxi rates as drivers here try to overcharge for tourists..

Almost I travel 8 times from this wonderful small airport with one runway with approximately 9000 feet and located in western part of Siliguri West Bengal India 🇮🇳 and 164.7kms from Phuntsholing Bhutan 🇧🇹 which took nearly 4hours journey depending on the traffic situation on the way😜

Small functional airport. Under Airforce Control. No photos allowed. If look carefully u can see fighters parked there. Good place to connect to Sikkim, Nepal and Bhutan...I understand.
