Small but well managed weightlifting academy looked after by Mizoram Weightlifting Association. It was established in September 2011. In that year itself several young promising international lifters including Jeremy the first Indian sportsman ever to win gold medal at youth Olympic Games in 2018 at Buenos Aires were scouted by this academy.
The academy situated first at Govt Complex and shifted to this venue. The academy has hostels, training center and tied up with reputed schools.
