HOTEL ALAKAPURI KOZHIKODE

I loved staying here. It was wonderful to sit by the garden and have a tea or food, I found it very peaceful. Service was really good, everyone was kind and thoughtful. Nice original buildings Close to the city, easy to walk everywhere.

Legendary restaurant!
First time I came in to eat here was about 15-20 years ago with my grandfather. I fondly remember the taste of the chicken fry fry, buttermilk and their chammanti.

Fortunate to eat here after soo many years. I can assure you that nothing has changed. Be it the meals or the chicken dry fry.

It's a good experience with the Hotel Alakapuri. It was for my engagement function. The location, service and food was very good.

Nice ambience. I don't know about rooms. Nice n prime location. It seems like a small space from outside, but it's a beautiful one once u get inside . I went there for a small family function. Perfect space for small ones.

Quality and service is excellent and offers great value for money

A classic hotel with old Kerala aesthetics, yet the washrooms are quite modern. I just went in to have lunch with my friends so I can only say that the food is really great and moderately priced. We had too many people so the waiter had a larger table setup for us. While waiting for my friends to come, I was sitting in the lounge area outside. It offers a small park-like area where you can take pictures or selfies. The parking is also quite spacious so I didn't have any trouble over there. The inside of the hotel was extremely spacious, even if it were to be full, it would not seem as such due to the height of the room and the spacing between the tables. It was a wonderful experience and I'd recommend going there for lunch.

Went there for a family birthday function, the service they provided was great and the ambience was awesome. The hall was perfect for the small group of people who were invited.

Anyone visiting Kozhikode must experience their Fish curry meals during lunch.

Happened to visit the restaurant of this hotel two days back along with six of my friends to have a get-together lunch, we booked a table for 7 people, but they said it was not necessary you can just walk in anytime.
But when we went there at 1 pm all the tables were occupied, I informed the guy in the counter that we had actually booked a table for 7 people but they said it was not necessary and now there is no table for us, he said don't worry sir and within few minutes arranged a table for us.
We ordered meals for all of us and ofcourse it comes with fish curry, sambar, aviyal, coconut chutney, papad, pickle, vegetable kootu curry, beans upperi, butter milk and ada pradhaman payasam, fish curry is Aykora fish curry and we were served two bowls of fantastic fish curry with plenty of pieces inside to mention, aviyal also was fantastic, as an extra dish we ordered Aykora fish fry which was really fantastic and fresh and it is accompanied with onion and lemon wedges, everyone of us really enjoyed our lunch especially the payasam.
One thing I would like to mention very specifically about the restaurant is, the lunch was financially very economical when compared to the price of other hotels and no wonder the restaurant is always busy with people who love to have a nice kerala meal.

Been visited the place with my dad since I was a kid, still feels as good as the first experience! Very comfortable, great service, good food, great location and very popular, the local folk know it as soon as you mention the name! Enjoyed my stay here very much.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Kozhikode town. But its uniqueness is that it still maintains its splendor. Fish curry meals is the one of the best items. pazhampori is very tasty.

For me, personally, it's a place full of memories. Since I got married here.
We've been celebrating our anniversary with a quiet lunch here every year.
The food is awesome, it's not crowned and noisy. It's a place you can relax and have a leisurely meal.

Service was good. Rooms are just ok. But, i felt the tariff when compared to the facilities, is a bit high. Food is good. You can not expect much from a hotel built many decades back. We got a room with double bed but the room was not upto mark. Then we have shifted to a cottage, which was ok.
