Beautiful temple near Maharashtra - Karnataka Border. This temple dedicated to goddess Danamma Devi.

The holy place Guddapur is apart 22 km from jath and is the ThirthSkhetra even though Guddapur a small village but due to the Danammadevi Temple it is always full of rush, Big Hills around the village and water pools and tanks are there which makes beautiful nature and provide good environment.

Shri Danammadevi temple good old building which may built in 12th centuary in the temple premises along with mother Daneshwari her Holy Husband Someshwar temple is there, To the left of Someshwar temple Mallikarjun temple and to the right side Veerbhadra temples are there in between Danamma temple and Someshwar temple a big Mantapa is there.

During Amavasya, heavy crowd visits for Darshan. This temple is a peaceful place and attracts large crowd throughout the year.

There is lots of local small shops,hotel,toy shops, fruits seller etc..are there for public.small shops are like Devi maa idol photo frame are there,bhandaar,kunkum,haar,ibhuti ..

Opposite side of temple there is only anna-prasad hall.filter water purifier is available there at easy price.
The temple runs anna-prasad every noon and night for devotees. There are plenty of rooms available in the surrounding of the temple for the devotees to stay overnight. The rooms are available at very nominal amount.

Parking space is ample for four wheelers. Bus facilities is also there by KSRTC from various major towns in North Karnataka.

It's my favourite temple and devi is my aradhya. She blesses her devotees with everything they need. The temple has amazing vibes.

Temple of shree Danamma Devi and a pilgrimage for many of her devotees. This temple is a peaceful place and attracts large crowd throughout the year. The temple runs ದಾಸೋಹ every noon and night for devotees. There are plenty of rooms available in the surrounding of the temple for the devotees to stay overnight. The rooms are available at very nominal amount.

A great and must visitolace for all Danamma devi Devotees. It's around 200 kms from Belagavi . The road till Athani is good and later road is not in that great condition. There is lot of 4 wheeler parking place available. There are many shops to buy vibhuthi, mukut and many toy shops to distract your lil ones and few.small.hotels to quench your thirst. The temple attracts huge crowd throughout the year.The temple premises is neat and well maintained. There are rooms available for over night stay. You can offer saree, coconut, banana, camphor,agarbatti flowers , and you can also register your name for abhishek. There's a dasoha mantapa , a pretty big hall with benches and desks . It is opposite to temple . Devi will be decorated in 3 different forms daily, watching that will be a bliss to our eyes. Do plan your visit and feel blessed 🙌.

Temple provides dasoha (free food) to everyone twice a day at afternoon and night. This is run by donations given by devotees. People from both Maharashtra and Karnataka follow goddess Danamma. Sharane Sri Danamma Devi (Kannada: ಶರಣೆ ಶ್ರೀ ದಾನಮ್ಮ ದೇವಿ ) was a follower of Jagajyothi Basavanna. Sharane Sri Danamma Devi is worshipped as an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. Shri Shiva Sharani Danamma Devi was initially called "Lingamma". She was born to Anantaraya and Shirasamma in Maharashtra in a small city (grama) of "Umarani" in Jatta Taluk, 20 miles west of the Bijapur district. Jagajyoti Basavanna foretold her that she would be worshipped worldwide by the name "Danamma Sharani". From then on, Lingamma is popularly called and revered as Danamma (or Daana-Amma). She started solving the problems of people in Kalyana.

After the period of Kalyana Kranti, she turned to her birthplace to her parents, leading her life worshipping "Linga". She was married to a devotee of Shiva called Sangamanatha in Sunga, 12 miles to the north of her village. Both couples later came to Guddapura, 8 miles to the west of Sunga Grama, helping people and donating to those who were needy, which means "DAANA". Hence her name was "Daana-Amma". There is a temple located in Guddapura of Shri Somesh Waranath where Danamma performed her usual rituals and Linga puja. Knowing her importance, people of specific communities became her followers and trusted her. She is believed to make many miracles even today, showing her presence to those who believe her. She is believed to lend a helping hand to the people who are in difficulty. Wherever there is mention of her name, there is no situation of starving or problems. She's known to be the incarnation (avatar) of goddess Parvati or Adishakti. She always insists people follow Guru Linga Jangama and gave Lingadiksha to worship Lord Shiva. Her miracles are described in 108 Namavali by chanting those; we get power, confidence, overcome our problems from Devi Adishakti. Thousands of people worship Devi by visiting her temple satisfying their wishes; she has also been called "Varadani Danamma". Later she made a journey towards Rameshwaram with her husband, spreading the Vachanas and knowledge of Jagajyoti-Basavanna and built his temple.

Along with her husband, she came to Kambe city. The second rajadhiraja king of Chola Raja's Mandalik came to know about her miracles, welcomed her and took a Lingadiksha from her. Then she came to Kudalsangama, where Basavanna was "Lykya" knowing that her parents were out of this world, she turned back to Guddapura. After performing pooja with pleasure, she becomes Iykya in "LINGA" while distributing the prasad. Her body turned to an idol, the Yadav's Vamshas Mahadevarajas kingdom, Sainath Mandalik, known to have built Danamma Devi temple. Her way of leading life was spotless and pure, in the same way still now the rituals and Mahapoojas are performed purely and cleanly. Every year we can see the fairs during "Chatti Amavasya" and people resolve their problems by Sevas.

A temple was erected after she attained Maha Nirvana in Guddapur, Sangli District, in present-day Maharashtra. Sri Danamma Devi is worshipped as a very powerful Goddess, with the power to fulfill any of her devotees' wishes and has thus been called 'Daan'-amma Devi.

Sri Danamma Devi has lakhs of followers from the Jangam, Lingayat & the Vishwakarma communities from around the world who regularly visit Guddapur. Temples devoted to the Goddess can be found in Rabkavi, Haveri, Hubli, Belgaum, Gokak, and Vijayapura (Bijapur) in Karnataka, which attract thousands of pilgrims

Chatti Amavasya yearly festival is Happening, lakhs of devotees visit here to get the blessings of Danamma Devi. Almost one week festival continue. Many people walk to reach the temple from their villages with lots of crowd. All along the roads people help devotees with water, food. Great feeling to visit here.
