Sacred Mother of Mines:
An Ocean of Compassion

It was in 1945, that an Hindu lady brought a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Vellanganni and placed it here.
All most all the family members of the mine workers, used to pray to the mother from the bottom of their heart , seeking blessing for the safe return of the miners who used to go underground while working in the mines. The mother was benevolent to the prayers of the family members and ensured safe passage back from the mines....those days. Several miracles have supposed to have happened .

The place is full of positive vibes , spending some quality time in such environs of the church, will be really beneficial to the mind and give ample amount of peace........

Fun filled area on the day of feast .... blessed place

A century ago in 1945 a Hindu lady brought a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Vailankanni and placed it here and began to pray, true to her prayers many workers from the near by mines visited the place to seek the blessings of our mother here. They erected a small chapel in 1946. The devotion spread with the efforts of Fr. P. BALAIAH. Many have come and received abundant blessing by our blessed Mother. The place is a peace full one. Church surrounded by greenery is in its self a beautiful experience. Come for a peaceful praying experience.

The place was quite, because of Covid19. The church is a new one. The place was peaceful and relaxing. If you just want to unwind and enjoy a little bit of nature then visit this place. It's not too far from Bangalore. A good drive, the roads are winding and view is scenic. A good place for a picnic or just to relax...

Amazing place located in Kolar Gold Fields. This place has been a great refuge for spirituality to Kolar Gold fields minners when they losy there jobs and fell into poverty. It is believed that there were many miraculous events that took place in this church.
Basically Kolar Gold Fields is called 'Little England ', because of the England type of ambience and atmosphere.
The place surrounding this church is amazing and feels just like mini England.

Miraculous church of Mother of Mines ! Origin of the chappal was during the times when Gold Mines were in operation and in order to safeguard the lives of the poor labourers facing danger of accidents while working underneath of mines, this miraculous statue was brought out of belief to safeguard them ! This Miraculous statue of Mother of Mines was brought by the Hindu devotee which proves faith has no religion but the voice of hearts !

It's a nice place were you can do prayer peacefully. Every year at the church there conduct a festival here. It gathers more than thousand devotees here.
