Shri Dau Ji Maharaj- Beloved brother of Lord krishna i.e Balaram ji Maharaj

Dauji Maharaj ki Mandir or Baldeo temple is one of the famous temple in northern part of indian state of U.P located within 20-25kms mathura,in a place called Lauhavan. This is Krishna and Balaram's cattle grazing site.

Here the beautiful diety of Baldeo ji was established by Vajranabh Ji( Great grandson of Lord krishna from Yadu dynasty). Also there is another diety of Mother Revati ji (Wife of Balaram ji) inside the temple sanctum sctorum in front of Dau ji seated looking lowered down showing respect.
It is said that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb tried to destroy Dau ji temple and deities here like he did to other hindu temples in and around the Northern part india, due to which the deity of Dauji was kept hidden from him for longer period of time. Later the deity was found from Ksheersagar Kund located near the temple. And thereafter he was reinstalled here by Sri Gokul nath Goswami, the grandson of Srimad Vallabhacharya ji ( founder of Vallabhacharya sampradaya- one of four Vaishnav sampradyas in India) around 480 years ago.

There are multiple festivals being celebrated here. But among all other festivals that are being celebrated here, the famous festival is Holi famously called Huranga or Phoolon ki holi. Vrajwasis and Devotees from all over the country even from outside come to celebrate the festival of holi and have some mesmerising experience for the lifetime.

Thread Mishri prasad offerings are very famous here,as devotees offer mishri to Baldeo ji. One shouldn't forget to relish them when you go in.

Today on 7th February, 2021 me with my family visited Shri Dauji Maharaj Temple in Baldeo (Uttar Pradesh).
It is very religious place to visit. Parshad of Makhan Mishri here is famous.

If anyone want to go there, please follow the time table of darshan from Google .

At the end where we had kulad chai at Raju Tea Stall, in front of that there is a shop named Shri Dauji Misthan Bhandar - From that shop if you can eat sweet then you must try out the "RABDI" it is very much delicious in taste & looks amazing and also has a limit of sweetness.
We had a great feeling after eating that.

Do subscribe to my channel on YouTube "RAJAT AGRAWAL" & support.

Those who don't know "Baldau/Dauji Maharaj is elder brother of lord Krishna"
The statue of this temple was not made by anyone based on a story one of the priest had a dream of this statue is there inside the ground and when they digged out this Idol was found thousands of year back.
This place will surely gives you a inner peace.
Way to the temple is little complicated from Mathura.
Template is very precious and there is no show-off or anything.
Inside darshan is not possible for many people..... I got luck in that term 😇😇

The famous Shri Dauji Maharaj Temple is situated in the town of Baldev, which is 20 km from Mathura. In Hindu mythology Baldeo is described elder brother of Shri Krishn. Lord Dauji is also known as Baldeo, Balram, Shankarsan and Haldhar. This holy temple was made in around 1535. There are stone idol of Shri Dauji and his wife Revati maiya in the temple. First Shri Kalyan-Dev ji had consecrated idols of Lord Dauji and Revati Maiya. Since that day only the descendants of Sri Kalyan-Devji has been worshiping to Lord Dauji and Revati Maiya. The town is named on Lord Baldeo. Devotees and pilgrims from all over India and world come this holy temple to offer prayer and worship Lord Dauji. After Janam Bhumi of Mathura it is prime attraction point of foreign tourists. Holi (Huranga) festival of Dauji is very popular, it is celebrated with much pomp and colours every year in the primises of temple.
It is said that when Emperor Aurangzeb heard the fame of Baldeo ji, he decided to demolish the idol and moved forward with the army. It is said that the army continued to move, wherever it reached one place, the army used to ask to the local people, the distance of Baldev from that place and people reply it is only two kos away, but the army could not reached Baldev. This had forced Aurangzeb to believr that Baldeo ji is definitely a miraculous deity and he failed to conquire Baldev. He surrendered to the Hindu deity and donated huge amount for the development of the temple.
Our ancestors have been worshing Shri Dauji Maharaj as our "Kul Devata". This mythological holy place must visit for all those who are fascinated by mythology, culture, history and spirituality.

"The village of Dāūjī is situated ten miles south of Rāyā and fifteen miles from Mathurā. This village is originally called Rīḍhā, but is now known as Dāūjī. In the temple here, there is an extremely attractive śyāma-complexioned deity of Dāūjī. Revatī-devī is also present here, but is hidden to the side of Dāūjī behind the door. The confidential reason why she is somewhat concealed is that Śrī Dāūjī’s marriage took place while He was residing in Dvārakā and not while He was living in Vraja.
Vajranābha established the deity of Śrī Dāūjī. Even though all the famous deities of Vraja left Vraja when the Yavanas (Muslims) invaded, Dāūjī tricked them and remained here. It is said that this deity was found lying upside down in Kṣīrsāgara (Saṅkarṣaṇa-kuṇḍa) which is situated on the western side of this temple. Devoted persons took Śrī Dāūjī from the kuṇḍa and built this temple, in which they duly seated and worshipped Him. The priests may have put the deity in the kuṇḍa in fear of attack by the bigot Aurangzeb.
Dāūjī’s birth from the womb of Mother Rohiṇī, eight days before the birth of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, took place in Gokula-Mahāvana. His name-giving ceremony, the ceremony held for the first shaving of His head and other purificatory rites (saṁskāras) were performed with those of baby Kṛṣṇa. Dāūjī and Kṛṣṇa would also play and crawl around together.
Rīḍhā or Dāūjī-gaon was the pasturing ground for Śrī Baladeva’s cows, being a forest area at the time of His manifest pastimes. This place is within Vidrumavana."
