First of all, reaching the place.... There is a well marked turning 3km short of Omkareshwar temple on the right.
This takes you to a 6km single lane tar road thru the jungle. The final 500m is, unfortunately dirt track.
This brings you to the resort's latest Boat club, a proper concrete parking lot with a guard.
You call the resort, they send you a speed boat that takes you to the resort in 5-8 min.
Those who have visited the Maldives might remember a similar journey from the airport to their resort....
The resort by itself is on an island, formed in the backwaters of the Omkareshwar dam. Extremely quiet, it is quaint and well made for a govt hotel, with good service.

Excellent island property of MPT, scenic surroundings, access by boat only. Stilted approach to half of the rooms. Every room has view of the surrounding water body. Good food and service. You will love it.

The island resort is very peaceful and scenic with top notch hospitality. One can enjoy the rush in their life with most comfortable and peaceful stay there.

The only and most important suggestion is please don't visit the place at evening or night time. There are two ways to reach the island either you take left turn before approx 15-17 kms from Omkareshwar temple and drive for next 20 Kms to dense forest area with no one in between and most scary place to travel once its dark and another is can take right turn before 2 Kms of Omkareshwar temple and travel for 6-7 Kms, which is comparatively way too safe and easy to reach temple if you plan to visit and they have boat club in both of the places.

A huge appreciation to staff working their, they are very humble and help you with anything. Also they don't have bar their so get your arrangements accordingly.

And a request to staff to atleast guide the customer to not come from the forest at night. It might be very common for you all but believe it was breath taking scary moment for us. Else we had wonderful stay their.

Sailani island was a Boating trip tourist attraction .A boat rode on the Narmada is always an experience and one of the rare rivers which flow against the general directions of rivers in india namely from North to east and narmada flows from east to west into the Arabian Sea.The sailing Island has a hall with billiards table carrom and table tennis indoor games and cold drinks are avaliable...
The important feature of the island is that one can see the confluence of the Cavery River entering the Narmada
A charming place to spend a few hours unless one comes with room bookings to stay for a weekend which would be interesting vacation

We had an amazing stay with Sailani Island resort. The hospitality was heart warming.

It's a unique experience for visitors to live at the green Island in Narmada River with all facilities. It has good landscape with regular speedboat services to pick and drop visiting tourists. The food served is also very tasty. Room charges are bit higher. Also, final 2 kilometres stretch needs improvement of road.

A perfect place for leisure holiday with family and friends. Had a wonderful stay. A complete different experience as you reach resort only through a speed boat and the resort itself is on an island so you are in a jungle you feel. Cottages are very comfortable and if you have to walk a lot … it is good but with senior citizens along it’s little difficult at night as there are steps. Manager Mr. Praveen Dubey was very helpful. He guided us in planning this trip. Food was also good. They have water sports including scuba diving too.

Sailani resort is a pleasant stay. Overall experience is very good. Food awesome. Indoor games are good. All the games are their instruments are in good shape. You can take walk across the island easily. Also can cycle around the island. Best place to stay close to nature. Helpful staff. Water sports are good. Found it but expensive as for all the adventure water sports you have to pay separately and it’s not included in your package.
Overall very good place for couples as well as family staycation.

Its a quite and nice place. Enjoy the leisure time. Rooms are neat and clean. Food is amazing( even small children will love it). Activities are there such as tracking, children playground, table tennis, volleyball. One thing is missing is the swimming pool. Staff is also good.scenes are good. Even in the night all the lighting nearby looks attractive.

Awesome place to visit. Four side covered with water, there is only one media to reach there is boat. Awesome feeling. Awesome service n food also. There is rooftop restore, must try.

A friendly staff team ensures your well being and hospitality there. It serves good food and is not at all over priced for a day trip. It's an experience in it's own and in close proximity to Indore too.
