It's my go-to place for South Indian delicacies.
The food here is great especially their dosas I have lived in Chennai and Bangalore for almost 7 years so I can definitely say they provide some authentic South Indian Cuisine.
My favourite is their Malleswaram 18 Cross Dosa loaded with ghee and podi it's a must try from my side a little heavy on the appetite as it's loaded with ghee.
Service needs a bit of improvement but the food definitely fixes everything.
Overall a must try might be crowded during weekends and brunch timings.

One suggestion - Visit at lunch time to avoid the queue & waiting time.

Autentic South Indian restaurant, all the dishes I ordered were too yum. Service, taste, quality everything was good.
They add too much of ghee which make the dishes heavy.

Best start to our new year! Super delicious meals. We ordered filter coffee, puddu, rice idli, Vada, onion uttapam, Malleswaram dosa.
I personally loved every item but felt that dosa could've been better. Ended it with raw coconut and roasted almond & Belgian Dark chocolate ice cream which was amazingly served in a coconut shell.

One of the best South Indian food restaurants in gurgaon. A must visit. There is always a long waiting queue. You need to wait for at least 15-20 minutes, but the wait is worth the food and quality you get. The ambience of the place is awesome and the 32 avenue ambience makes it a wholesome experience. The staff is very polite and helpful. Food here is made in ghee and has some very special and awesome authentic dishes. We liked neer dosa and paddu. They were just pure and well prepared.

This place captures the true essence of South Indian food. Dosa, uttapam, appam, vada, filter coffee, everything we ordered was beyond delicious 🫶🏻 Ate till my heart's content and had an amazing time here. 100% recommend this place for your next South Indian food craving. The only downside of their food being delicious is that you'll have to wait to get a table most of the time. Rest assured, the food will make that wait worthy.

Very recommended south Indian restaurant in Gurgaon.

Located in backyards of 32nd Avenue. Expect waiting time of 30-40 minutes in evenings and afterwards.

Old styled theme with great south indian vibe. Ice creams are also available.

Tried 3 items from their menu -

1. Malleshwaram 18th cross dosa (230 INR) - hands down to the best dosa I had. Amazing thick crust loaded with gun powder and ghee

2. Mix Veg Uttapam (190 INR) - good uttapam with onions stuffed inside.

3. Filter Coffee (120 INR) - found it really strong. Not worth the price

Very economical if you compare it with other restaurants in 32nd Avenue.

Table for 2 was very small for the plates they served. Can improve on that part.

Date of Visit - 28th January, 2024

Embark on a sensory odyssey as you immerse yourself in the captivating tapestry of true South Indian flavors at this extraordinary haven. The place exudes an irresistible charm, creating an ambiance that effortlessly transports you to the quaint cafés nestled in the heart of South India.

Our culinary sojourn began with the 18th Malleswaram Dosa, a culinary masterpiece that unfolded like a symphony of taste. With each delicate bite, it felt as if my palate was traversing through a kaleidoscope of dosa experiences, culminating in an exquisite blend of love, generously infused with ghee and the aromatic podi powder. It's not just a dish; it's a love affair that takes you on an enchanting journey with every delectable morsel.

As we indulged in the gastronomic wonders, my daughter was enamored by the creamy ice cream served in a genuine coconut shell. The juxtaposition of flavors, the velvety texture, and the delightful presentation elevated the dessert to an art form. It's a sweet symphony that resonates with joy.

Concluding our epicurean expedition with Kesari Bhaat, the simplicity of this dish belies its profound authenticity. Every spoonful is a celebration of tradition, a nod to the roots of South Indian cuisine. The flavors linger on the palate, leaving behind a lasting impression of culinary excellence.

In this culinary haven, every dish is a chapter, and each visit is a chance to script your gastronomic adventure. Come, savor the magic, and let your taste buds dance to the rhythm of South India's culinary symphony. It's not just a meal; it's an experience waiting to be cherished.

✨Carnatic Cafe is a completely South Indian Delicacy resturant. They are specialised in Various Varieties of Tasty Dosa, Idlis, uttapam etc.

✨I recently visited Carnatic Cafe at 32 milestone and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is conveniently located in Gurgaon 32nd milestone mezzanine floor and offers a great selection of authentic South Indian dishes. The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable, and the staff members are friendly and attentive.

✨I tried the dosas and uttapam , which were freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The dosa was also flavorful, fluffy and crispy on the outside. I appreciated the use of authentic ingredients and spices in the three chutneys, which added to the overall appeal.

✨The menu at Carnatic Cafe is a harmonious symphony of traditional South Indian dishes. The dosas were delightfully crisp, while the uttapam were soft and fluffy, just as they should be. The sambar had a rich depth of flavor, and the coconut chutney was a refreshing complement to the dishes. The staff at Carnatic Cafe were friendly but not so much attentive to the order , providing helpful suggestions and ensuring a comfortable dining experience. Overall, Carnatic Cafe is a heaven for those seeking an authentic taste of South Indian cuisine.

✨We had Malleshwaram Dosa which is their signature dish(fluffy from inside and crispy from outside with gun powder and peanut paste) Manina Maga Dosa was nice too which had peanut chutney paste and was open flat dosa and last was Mysore Masala Dosa which had garlic flavour.

❤Highly recommended place. Must go for it💯❤

✨With impeccable service, great ambience, warm and comfortable interiors, a welcoming environment and a scrumptious menu, we recommend you to try them out soon.

It took us 4 visits to find the right food to select , many of their food items has too much oil and some of the items portion is quite big. So after many hits and try now I usually order their thali and Maysoor masala dosa, Keep jn mind they don’t serve thali on Monday . The best time to visit is around 12 noon and in evening they has waiting of 40 min . So go for lunch. Food is good and overall service is fast.

It's a must visit place for South Indian dosa lovers. Their Carnatic special dosas are a delicacy.
We ordered Manina Maga dosa and Mandakki Dosa and they were delicious. Both of the dosa belong to different parts of Karnataka.
Their kokum is so refreshing and feels good on your stomach.

Had to wait about 1 ½ hours for a table.
But it was worth it.
The treat was amazing, those crisp dosas on outside yet fluffy on inside. Too good to explain. "18th cross maheshwari" is a must try dosa.

Make sure you reach early or you won't get any table, they don't take reservations so be early or go somewhere else in 32 nd milestone.

It is hands down the best place for South Indian food in Gurgaon. Their special dosas are out of this world and the buttermilk is very refreshing.
Definitely recommend their Malleswaram cross dosa, Neer Dosa and Benne khalli dosa.

Your ultimate destination for South Indian food. A must-try if you are living in Gurgaon. Unique style of serving crispy dosas that you must try. The rice of the day is the best, but you have to ask for it before late evening. Filter coffee with papad is the best combo for rainy days. Advice: Book your table in advance to avoid a long queue.

In 32nd avenue, this is undoubtedly
* cheapest restaurant
* best in taste
* serves authentic flavours

Atmosphere becomes little chaotic on the weekends, so at least I won't advice for weekend visit - Too much crowded, long waiting time,

But let me tell you, it's worth every seconds wait. Plus the servers are pretty quick and helpful so as soon as you enter the premise you'll not feel the same. And once you taste the authenticity you'll be bound to visit again.

Carnatic Cafe is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city, offering a delightful South Indian vegetarian dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable meal.

The menu at Carnatic Cafe is a celebration of South Indian cuisine, with a wide array of traditional dishes that cater to all palates. Whether you're a fan of dosas, idlis, vadas, or a combination of them all, you'll find an impressive selection to choose from. The chefs here have mastered the art of creating authentic flavors, and the quality of ingredients used is evident in every bite.

One of the highlights of Carnatic Cafe is their dosa section. The dosas are light, crispy, and generously filled with a variety of flavorful stuffings. Whether you prefer the classic masala dosa, the tangy tomato-onion dosa, or the unique paneer-filled dosa, you won't be disappointed. The accompanying chutneys and sambar are the perfect accompaniments, providing a burst of flavors that complement the dosas perfectly.

In addition to dosas, Carnatic Cafe also offers a selection of idlis and vadas that are equally delicious. The idlis are soft and fluffy, served with a range of chutneys and sambar. The vadas, on the other hand, are perfectly fried to a golden crispness, with a soft and flavorful center.

The service at Carnatic Cafe is friendly and efficient. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and is happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. The wait times are generally reasonable, although it can get crowded during peak hours, which is a testament to the restaurant's popularity.

The only area where Carnatic Cafe falls slightly short is in its limited dessert options. While the traditional South Indian sweets like kesari and payasam are available, a wider selection of desserts would be a welcome addition to the menu.

Overall, Carnatic Cafe is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine. With its inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service, it offers a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. Whether you're a South Indian food enthusiast or simply looking to explore new flavors, Carnatic Cafe is a culinary destination that won't disappoint.
