Beautifully maintained place, our beloved late Bhupen Hazarika’s last stoppage. Staffs are punctual and polite. However I felt the security arrangements are not adequate.

Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra is the final resting place of the legendary "Sudhakantha" Dr. Bhupen Hazarika who was a playback singer, lyricist, poet, musician, filmmaker and balladeer who is widely admired not only in native Assam but across the country. He passed away on the 5th of November, 2011. It is located in Jalukbari, Guwahati, just beside the Gauhati University. It is a memorial site that celebrates his life and works. There's a museum in his remembrance, which we couldn't enter as it was closed that day, Speakers all around the place play his melodies all the time. There's no ticket system, you just need to sign on a register during your entry. Beautifully maintained. Definitely worth a visit✨

Ticket: none. We just had to sign .
Interior: It is filled with photographs of Bhupen Hazarika's life. There is a collection of paintings depicting his songs. His belongings like clothes, shoes, cap, etc. are also preserved there.

It's peaceful. It's near my university so I've visited it quite a few times. If you're distressed and want to feel good you should go there.

The place was quiet peaceful full of displaying the life of Dr. Bhupen hazarika, his contribution to the society and India. Luckily we went when the weather was very hot and it was nice to walk around this place.

This place is made in the loving memory of the prominent singer, composer, film maker Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. I must say that I was quite impressed by the way it designed and constructed. It comprises a very good and refreshing environment. Everyone can come here and enjoy the beauty, ambience of the place. A very green environment, management is very good. Except thursday it is open the whole week.

The continuous playing of Bhupen da's songs gives a beautiful vibe as you enter this serene place. You'll feel that peace which you were searching for days. This well maintained place is a must visit.

Nice place to hangout in the evening. Very peace and calm place. Music is good. Flowers are beautiful. Grasses are properly cut. Fountain with light is cherry on it. So, altogether a very nice place to just relax and have some quality time. And the musuem is also very good. Every photo of Bhupen Hazarika is there. One can see every photo of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, right from his childhood to the day of his death. One can easily understand and witness his life by feeling the pictures. There are beautiful paintings also just to add more beauty in it. Moreover there is system of lift also for those who can't take stairs. You can go upto 2nd floor. At last I want to say that you must visit this place once in a lifetime you are resident of Assam but I suggest you to go in evening at around 4 during winters and at around 5 during summer. Thank you.

A beautiful Memorial for the Great Bhupen Hazarika. It has good surroundings. There is soft music playing all round inside the Samadhi. You can spend good time. Just go there and relax by seeing his Samadhi and listening to his good music. A beautiful fountain also located inside the garden.This place is located on byepass road, near Guwahati University thus you could see a lot of young boys and girls coming to this area to listen to enchanting music. Parking is free & here is no entry charges. Toilets available.
