It seems as if it was yesterday & I was a young school student giving a class presentation. Yes, I’m an ex-student of Barrackpore Government High School (BGHS) and I have spent more than decade in this school. Established in 1837 by Lady Emily Eden, BGHS have heritage buildings with British Architecture along with a huge field which makes the school campus super attractive.

Barrackpore government high school have it’s own reputation for heritage and gold standard education. Having an excellent track record in academics and this schools has produced pioneers time to time in many fields.

BGHS has a very friendly atmosphere to it. It has an environment that stimulates people to learn new things. The one thing that stands out at BGHS is that the school has a unique “everyone-knows-everyone” feel. That has never changed throughout my 10+ years at school.

One of the luckiest things to have is a happy childhood and Barrackpore government school is an unforgettable part of my awesome childhood. School days are the happiest days of my life.

This is the most of the lovely place in ever...💕 My school for only two years of my life. But in these two important year I learned more about from this school. Man!!! This is THE school. Established in 1837, this is reputed for its heritage and gold standard of education not just in Barrackpore but also all around the city. Having an excellent track record in academics, this schools has also produced pioneers in many fields of life. Teachers still strive hard to maintain the fame with their support and knowledge and care for pupils. And students are also hard working (well quite a no. of them, at least :p ). Once you are admitted, you'll surely fall in love with this Bengali medium school. Learning environment? Check. Labs and infrastructure? Check. Playground? Check. Extracurricular activities? Check.

This School is the oldest one School in this area. This School established in the then British rulling period on 1837. The district hospital, named Dr. B.N.BOSE was the student of this school. Many scholar came out from this famous school. As a local student and gurdian of a student, I fell proud of this school.

The School was established by Lady Emily Eden on 1837. Now the school is more than 182 years old. It have a heritage building , other buildings and a big play ground. The School have sections. Class one to class five in morning section and class so to class twelve in day section. At present day section have more than twentyseven teachers. Higher Secondary section offer Science, Arts and Commerce courses. There is an Alumni Association run by some people having poor idiology and narrow mentality

t High School is situated on Barrackpore Trunk Road near Talpukur in Barrackpore, India and was established in 1837. Until recently it was believed that the school was established by Emily Eden. However, research gives credit to her elder brother George Eden, 1st Earl of Auckland the then Governor-General of India. He opened and ran the school at his own expense. The school continues to run from the heritage central building which is highly reminiscent of Collegiate Neo-Gothic architecture typical to nineteenth century British constructions.
