Sonar Kali Bari & its surroundings is a native place of mine ... lots a golden memories are associated since my childhood. This is one of the most ancient and traditional holi place of the town. Sonar kali bari is a very old Temple of Devi Kali which was built by Burdwan king Bijay Chand Mahatab about 100 years ago. The present foundation looks very old with some artistic design. Inside the temple there is also two Shiva temple. The actual idol of The Devi is of "Bhubaneswari" ,i.e - the forth incarnation of Maa Mahamaya. Regular pujas are made by Tantrik Brahmin , people visits there daily to get grace of Maa Kali . During Kali Puja & Other Tantrik puja festivals Special pujas with Vali of Male Goat is also an essential part of the Puja. The circumstances of the premises is quite calm & peaceful.

It's walls though a bit torned off, bearing the history of 120 years, and the water fountain standing still

Historical place. Established by Bardhaman Maharaja . The environment is very good. Calm & noisy free place . Childhood memories are involved with this Mandir.

Very Old Hindu Temple 😇

Last day I made my first visit there. It was an amazing experience. The main entrance of the temple house is so beautiful. It reflects the royalty of the temple. The main temple is nicely maintained. There is a large 'Nat Mandir' in front of the temple. There is also a Shiva temple at the opposite side.

This is a place of worshiping. It is a oldest temple and the architecture of this temple is very old. In this temple you can notice the form off "Mata" and lord Shiva" too. I love this place.
