Originally establishment was halt for shops of European tailors like Engelbad & Co. and the Coutts & Co. The oldest post office in north India, G.P.O. is making us all Shimla residents a owner of extreme haughtiness...

I went there to buy some post cards. The post office is very beautiful and the staffs there are so helpful.

My USB stolen from the envelope. Hotel lodged the complain but no response from Post Office. I visited shimla with the family and left my USB plugged in the TV. Its a 256GB usb with lots of memories, which is very precious for me.

Had booked a speed post on 25 Jun 21 from GPO shimla to Nainital. It was supposed to reach as early as possible from the shortest route, but, instead on 29 Jun 21, it's being despatched from moradabad. I don't understand why is it even suppose to go there? Neither is it the shortest route nor does it fall in speed post criteria. Really disappointed by the services.

Like any other government run, it is most inefficient department, too.
