An Indian Archeological Heritage site located in District place Hoshangabad ( Madhya Pradesh). From city one can walk, run or visit by vehicles at this place. This place is on the way to Itarsi from Hoshangabad. Underneath beautiful and amazing rock formations one can find various natural caves where 5000-6000 years old wall paintings are inked by the early men, surrounded by greenary, main road to city hoshangabd and the railway track. One can experience a beautiful sun rise and sun set with such a meamerizing scenery around. There is an entry charge for domestic and foreign visitors paid only via online payments. Locals must feel proud to have such a marvel located in their town and must come ahead to preserve and promote it further. People must visit to witness this beautiful place while keeping the social/ environmental responsibility intact. Do not eat/ cook/ litter in the site area. There is a small hut at the enterance one can use that facility to have their meal and please use dustbins to throw your residuals/ garbage. Be a responsible visitor, own the place to maintain the place. Jai Hind Jai Bharat!

I have been here many a times with family and friends.
Beautiful nature surrounded by Delhi-Chennai railway track one side and MP. State roadway on the other side.Earlier there was no fencing nor any guard there. But now it is covered with fencing and an armed guard is at its gate throughout.
People visit it's caves and take photos.
It's a sight for every nature loving visitors.
It can also be seen from the road out side also.

Rock art, that is paintings and carvings on natural rock formations, is one of the earliest forms of creative expression and a universal phenomenon among prehistoric societies. An instrument of communication rather than simply art, it is an assemblage of material culture which provides a glimpse into the lives of people who painted them. Art is a powerful tool to express oneself, and rock art is a window into the prehistoric mind as the paintings reflect imagination, creativity, emotions, and tenderness. Rock art is the primary source to study the culture, rituals, traditions, and lives of prehistoric societies. In a multidisciplinary approach, scientists attempt to date the paintings while artists seek the meaning behind them.

In this age of internet where lesser and lesser people go out like old times I think any place outside the city and near nature deserves a five star ratings. The Adamgadh hills are a good place to study birds, cave paintings and get a good view of the city. The cave paintings haven't been preserved well enough I have to admit but there are still some left to see. The hills are definitely not a place one should go out of their way to visit but if you happen to be in a 10-15 km radius of Hoshangabad and have some time on your hands then you should definitely give it a try and take your kids with you.
