Whenever u vist this place it gives you peace and the nearby area looks mesmerizing. It's clean you can go their for picnic or as a tourist destination do not litter it.
Photos are allowed to take and the architecture is awesome.
If you look closely you can see the handicrafts cut out on stone using chisel and hammer so beautifully.

This is the 10th century shiv temple constructed by ruler of kalchuri dynasty mahraja Yuvrajdev the front portion which was damaged was newly constructed by Raja Gulab Singh of Rewa. Craving done on the temple is very nice and environment is also nice

It's one of the oldest temple situated in this area.
The places is usually not very much crowded.
One can find peace of mind and spend some quality time in the lap of God Shiva.
If you're there in Shahdol do visit it once. Believe me you'll have to regret if you don't visit.

VIRATESHWAR TEMPLE, SOHAGPUR History It is one of the finest monument built by the Kalachuri rulers and is datable to circa 11 century AD., on stylistic considerations of art and architecture The temple stands on a richly decorated jagati and faces east.On plan, itcomprises of an ardhamandapa, (Maha) Mandapa and antrala followed by square garbhagriha The garbhagriha nearly 3 m square in size is enshined with Siva linga and jaladhari The elevation of the temple is diyisible into five major parts, viz: peetha, vedibandha jangha, varandikaand sikhara.The sikhara is of sapta ratha type.It has 21 bhumi amalakas on the four corners.The top of.shikahara is surmounted by amalaka, chandrika amalasarika and kalasa.The sukhanasika has an image of Tandava Shiva within the medallion.Mandapa seems to have had a beautiful pyramidal roof as evidenced by the remnants
