This temple has been built close to the northern gate of the palace. It is learned that the statue of Lord Anjaneya was obtained in Belagole. There is a `Garuda gamba ` of 40` height in front of the temple. It is illuminated on the top. The idol is very beautiful. Most of the people of the city visit this temple from dawn to dusk to offer prayer and sevas. Kote Anjaneya Swamy has its share of Muslim devotees too as the divine being is believed to cure diseases by tying the thaitha. On Amavasya a special pooja is performed and the thaithas /talisman to be given to the devotees are charged by chanting powerful mantras.

I'm astonished seeing a particularly brilliant sanctuary situated close to the Mysore Palace gate . Strong hanuman sanctuary worked during the time of Tippu.Big symbol of hanuman all around formed and we feel like totally give up ourselves to him. Should visit sanctuary in mysuru. Very old and historical anjaneya temple located near palace at Northern gate ( balarama gate ).it is a beautiful and awesome temple with positive vibes and it feels very peaceful and clam when we enter temple and more crowd we can except on Saturday. Yantra is famous for childrens and vechile pooja also and more pigeons in morning.
