A small temple for Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma in Gudimallam. All three are present in the Shivalinga statue. The temple is 2300 years old. The Shiva linga is the oldest worshipped in the world.

Shri Parasurameswarar temple in Gudimallam, Tirupathi Dt, AP is one of the oldest Shiva temples in India, protected and managed by Archeological Survey of India. The most important aspect is the 5 feet Lingam in the semicircular sanctum with full length human form of Lord Shiva standing on a dwarf (representing spiritual ignorance) carved on the front. This unique Lingam is more than 2000 years old. The temple itself is believed to be built, modified by various rulers in the centuries thereafter. The mandapam and the entrance to the sanctum are plain granite structures. A mere look of the sanctum will show its ancient origin. There are seperate sannidhis for Shri Karthikeya, Shri Kanakavalli Amman and a beutiful idol of Surya Bhagawan. Gudimallam is a small village to be reached by narrow rural road. Considering the darshan of 2000 years old Shiva temple, the travel is certainly spiritually worthwhile.

One of the oldest temple in india which was constructed 2300yrs old.

Only temple near Tirupati to have Surya Bhagavan, and Thrimoorthi (Shivan, Vishnu, Bhrama) in one place.

Peaceful and divine.

Between these 2 towns lies a small temple for Shiva Vishnu and Brahma and that is Gudimallam. All three are present in the Shiv ling statue. The temple is supposed to be 2300 years old and the Shiva ling there is supposed to be the oldest worshipped in the world...

It is known that the expanded temple is of *chola* provenance, as attested to by a Chola inscription on-site that names the deity as well as dates the temple construction to 1126 BCE. However, evidence of barrel-roofing over the garbagriha, suggests an earlier date, of around the ninth century, for the shrine itself.

It's the first Shiva lingam on the earth and a unique form and Thrimurthys together. Blessed to have Dharshanam of Sri Parasurama Swamy. Here Rudrabhishek is performed every Monday only. A pleasant and powerful temple.

Temple that has stood strong for 2000 odd years. Lord brahma, lord Vishnu and lord maheswara can be seen in one Moorthy( shilla ) Structure of the temple is simple but elegent.

One has to pass through paddy fields to reach here. Drive from highway to temple was a great experience..

Ancient Temple - 1st Lord Siva Temple in India. As per Archeological Survey, the temple is backdated to 2nd century BCE (App. 2400 yrs old as on today).

It is an ultimate serenity in the temple. V spiritual atmosphere. You can clearly experience the Lord Siva's Vibes in all your body once you enter the temple.

It is quite a big temple. We have visited today (01.01.2024). Though we stay in Tirupati, this is the 1st time, we visited thia ancient temple. Completely mesmerised. 🙏🏼 Om Namah Sivaya 🙏🏼 There were more than 3000 devotees in the temple & enroute but there is no inrush or anything. It easily accomodated all of them, such a big temple. More than 50 cars & 200 bikes were parked when we went there.

A must visit temple. Om Namah Sivaya 🙏🏼

One of the ancient temples, which is situated 15 km away from tirupati. Shivalinga belongs to the first bc. Later the temple was renovated during chola and the Pallava Dynasty. Second earliest shivalinga, first earliest ancient shivalinga situated in harappa. This temple is under the supervision of an archeological survey of India. But worship happens as usual. This temple is situated in a gudimallam, village near tirupati in the renigunta route.

Parasurameshwarar Temple in Gudimallam is situated near Swarnamughi river which is located 12 Kms from Tirupati. The lingam in this temple is believed to be the oldest ever discovered which belong to second or third century.

Moolavar is Parasurameshwarar and Thayar is Ananda Valli. The main linga is found with Chitasena Yatchan (Brahma) at bottom and Lord Vishnu with Battle Axe (Parashu) in one hand and a killed goat in other hand and hence the name Parasurameshwarar.

Lord Shiva is in Linga form, Lord Vishnu is in Parasurameshwarar form and Brahma as Yatchan. Temple is very cleanly maintained. Good and peaceful place.

A very ancient temple, well maintained, Legend has it that lord parashuram and lord Brahma had a fight on who's to offer the single flower bloomed in the pond. Later lord Shiva appeared and granted them a boon to be merged with the lingam.
Every once in 40 years the sanctum will be filled with water, this happened last December 4 2005.

This is a very old temple. Less crowd. The linga shape is different from other temples. But the way to the temple from the highway was not okay.

Hindu Devotional Lord Siva temple. Oldest and 1st Siva temple in India. It has a great history. Google it.
Public transport is very very minimal and best is take your own transport. Very pleasant and quite temple. Primary lord statue has Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu in middle and Lord Siva in top. Very traditional and not specific dress code.

Don't know why but cow is captivated by two ropes irrespective of the weather, no shelter.
No space for him to roam free.

One must see this temple , this is very unique ditey statue, we have visited this while coming from Tiruttani , no commercial aspects in temple. No rush and queue. You can see Surya Bhagwan statue. Road to this temple is single but in good condition. You can stay over in Puttur city from there you can visit Appalayakunta Venkateswara swamy temple and from there we have visited this temple. From there you can plan to visit to Srikalahsati. It will hardly take 40 to 50 minutes.
