I have studied 2 years in this school in 11th and 12th standard . The red building reminds me my old days. In every year many meritorious students get rank under 10 in madhyamik and higher secondary. There are some new building beside red building. The labs are also in good condition. The teachers are very student friendly except few. In past a barrister named Manmohan Sarkar gave his house to establish a school . The school is just in front of the krishnagar municipality and 5 minutes walking distance from Krishnanagar bus stand.

Krishnagar Collegiate School (KCS) is famous with the name "Lal Bari".. It's the only government Boys' school in Nadia district.. It was established in 1829 at the British time period by Man Mohon Ghosh, a famous barrister and father of Shri Aurobindo.. At the very first time it was the house of Man Mohon Ghosh, which was connected with Krishnanagar Rajbari, Krishnanagar River Ghat and some another place through under ground Tunnel from this house.. Now they have been blocked from the underground but the staircase goes down , which is visible till now.. It's a very good school and one of the oldest school in west Bengal... It's the proud of Krishnagar.. It contains the memory of Netaji, Dwijendralal Rai, Beni Madhav Das and many more famous persons.. Till now the students of this school stands within India and they are available accross world... We love KCS.. I'm proud to be a student of KCS❤❤

It's my another home. The school was established in 1846. It is one of the best landmark in NADIA district. We called our home as "LALBARI". This is our emotion...and always wanna say that I am proud to be a KCSIAN.

I have one unique opportunity of being both student and teacher of this school. Writing a review of this school would probably be an insult to it such magnanimously famous it is in the town. It had once been the abode of the world famous barrister Dr. Manmohan Ghosh. He contributed this palatial edifice to the school. By far, this is the best boys' school in the region. It is a full government school which admits students on the basis of lottery. It is a +2 level school and has both science and arts stream in +2 level. Good laboratories it has and awesome faculties. A new building is being built at the back of the school for accommodating increasing number students.
