This is an extremely old temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The statue is quite unique and is made from a single stone. It is located interiorly in the village and in a calming environment. Veera Anjeneyar is the only deity of this temple. It’s a quite small but well preserved temple. There’s sufficient place for vehicle parking outside the temple as well. The temple is open from 6am to 1pm in the afternoon and 3pm to 8pm in the evenings.

The deity Anjaneya here is looking to his left side so the sculpture looks side angled. Temple is small one but with good atmosphere. Flower shops, Toilet facility available outside the temple.

This is one of the idols of Hanuman of the more than 800 installed by Sri Vyasaraja, so it has historic significance. The temple may be small and simple, but it certainly has very positive vibes, and is enormously revered by a large number of devotees from near and afar.

The place is approximately 750 metres from Putlur railway station and 400 odd metres from main road.

They offer vadamala service during the amavasya day and on auspicious occasions like new year and Hanuman jayanthi. It's considered as one of the 732 vyasa pradhishta Hanuman idols in India.. The speciality of these idols is that they are faced towards north direction with lotus flower in one hand and a bell at the end of Lord's tail.. It's located in the kakalur- putlur road near the kakalur pond..Jai shree ram!

Kakkalur was a very small village once. It has become a part of Tiruvallur town which is around 35 km away from chennai. There is train route to reach here. It takes 40 minutes from chennai to reach Putlur railway station. After getting at Putlur, you can can autos to reach sri veera anjaneyar temple. It is a small temple. But it is a miraculous temple. People visit the temple through out the week. They perform abhishekam for hanuman on auspicious days. They perform puja very traditionally. The people offer betel leaves garlands and tulasi garlands for hanuman. If you pray here, you will be blessed definitely. There will be very peaceful atmosphere here. I request the temple endowment board to provide the funds for the development of the temple.
