This is a very ancient temple of lord Shiva built originally in the year 1792 by the kachari king krishna chandra dhwajja Narayan. The temple built on the banks of chiri river is very peaceful and soothing. It is undergoing a transformation with a new temple coming up. Most people of silchar are unaware of such an ancient place near us. Unfortunately there was no one who could tell us about the history of the temple and if any of the original items exist today. OM NAMAH SHIVAY 🕉

This divine temple of Lord Shiva is located at a Very peaceful place nearby river. Devotees mostly visit during auspicious days of Mahashivratri and Baroni. Met with an very lovely and vibrant elderly lady here who is one of the guardian of this place,she educated us about the history of this place. One can visit the river shores nearby here. Network problem is a issue here but still one can visit here with family or friends to experience the calmness of this place.
