Loved every dish ordered from here. Came here for breakfast. Orders Mutton kuruma along with Porotta and Noolappam. Those were amazing. So rich in flavours and mouthwatering. Then tried two snacks namely Chatti pathiri (ചട്ടി പത്തിരി) and Pazham Nirachath ( പഴം നിറച്ചത്). Both were super tasty. Satisfied with the customer service also. But there's maybe room for better Ambience and settings.

We went for snacks. I guess almost all the snack items were over and we had to try Pazham nirachathu, BDF, Samosa and kadukka fry (or was it Squid fry?). It was good, didn’t find any extra ordinary though! May be I didn’t know their signature item!

We tried:
mutton biryani, so good and must try,
Prawns roast, again its so good
Porota, crispy and fresh
Mutton samosa, average nd I couldn’t get any mutton masala, instead filled with onion masala
Chatti pathiri, nice.
Overall its a must try place , with affordable price and very good customer service.

Bombay Hotel in Kozhikode is an old and great place, especially for biryani lovers. They have different types of biryanis to try. The restaurant has two floors and a good parking lot. You might have to pay 100 Rs for parking, but if you eat at Bombay Hotel, you can get that money back. It's a nice place with tasty food and convenient parking.

A four-decade-old tradition of serving scrumptious Kozhikode special nonveg biryani every morning awaits you at the Bombay restaurant. One of the older restaurants in the town located in the vicinity of the Kozhikode beach, the restaurant is loved for the snacks and Malabari meals they serve. The biryani is a famous dish at many restaurants in the town, but the biryani served here has probably more fans than any other place. The restaurant is recently renovated to a new two floors building with nonAC seating downstairs and AC seating upstairs. The cuisines available here are Indian, Asian, Halal in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The snacks are a winner at the restaurant which is accompanied with a steaming hot cup of tea. The mutton varieties in snacks and meals are must try options for nonveg food lovers. With an old city charm to the place, the tradition of serving tempting food has made this restaurant stand its name and repute with the passage of time.

We had breakfast and dinner here. The service and the taste of food is great. We had wheat parotta & carimeen masala for dinner. And we also tried two sweet dishes which are local delicacies. This place opens at 5.30 am and they are ready with breakfast. We had putta, upma and egg roast for breakfast. A good place to dine in and a must visit when you are in Calicut.

If you're a fan of Biriyani, this place is an absolute must-try! The standout dish for me was definitely the chicken & beef biriyani. It was easily one of the best biriyani I've ever had. In addition to the biriyani, I also highly recommend the Unnakka snack. It was incredibly tasty and had a real depth of flavor that kept me coming back for more.
However, I must address a disappointing aspect of my dining experience. We ordered a serving of chicken fry and unfortunately, upon receiving the chicken fry, we noticed an unpleasant odor that indicated it was not fresh. Disappointed, we promptly returned it to the kitchen.

A nice, clean and hygienic place with no frills but Excellent food at very reasonable rates. The hotel has its parking nearby, where you have to pay Rs 100/-, which gets reimbursed while paying the bill. The portions are also very generous and the order gets served very fast. A must visit place.

Have been to this place on multiple occasions. Food tastes good with good service even during rush hours. Mutton biryani, chicken biryani, prawns, spring chicken are a must try.
Plenty of parking is available as they have dedicated parking space besides the restaurant building.

Anybody who's been to calicut if you haven't dined here then your entire trip was wasted people.
Very old place apperntly and its known for its "snacks" varieties. Located close to the beach this place is alwaz crowded. If u want some peace try the ac setup on the 1st floor.
I have tasted kerala cuisine before but this north kerala restaurant has quite a few tricks up its sleeve. Egg cake, fried version of banana fritters (its called something else in malayalam) chicken cake, shell fish, mutton cutlet are few of the amazing nd mouth watering dishes of the place. They also have regular food like biryani n parathas. But the snacks are the best.
Don't forget to checkout all the dishes in the counter for yourself on the ground floor bfr u go on top.
Mind blowing food and must try if u r in calicut!!!

I was thinking to go to this hotel for more than 5 years back. This night was the night.

Mutton biriyani is so good. But too much sweet things they are putting. As I hate grapes and dates in biriyani. Still I love that biriyani.
Mutton was so yum and quantity also worth for the price.
I reached hotel by 10pm. Mutton biriyani was there.
Three things served with mutton biriyani
White curd Marsala
Green coconut chutney
Red dates pickle
Curd Marsala was spicy and mouth watering
Kanthari Mulak is added and it gave the yummy taste.
Coconut chutney and dates pickle was average.
I love the char of dates pickle. It's worth.
They are serving only fork not the knife
Bare hand is my thing for eating biriyani so no problem for me.
Service was excellent.
Toilet on ground floor is too bad 👎
And smells yucky🤮.

It's near Kozhikode beach. Snacks are really good and verity chai are available. Neat and clean place.

The Biryani is infused with mild spices
The addition of cashews and sultanas to the biryani, which comes with the home made dates pickles and coconut chutney as condiments is truly divine

I visited Bombay hotel while i was on a ride from Delhi to Kanyakumari. It's a very old hotel. I had biryani and after tasting at many places,i found this the best place to have. I also tasted 2-3 types of Kerala sweets, I can't recall the names. One was wrapped in banana leaf and the other was yellow color wrapped and the filling was of coconut, jaggery and mashed banana. Both of them were absolutely delicious. I'm sure you will savour the taste. Note- i forgot to take pictures, have taken only one from the hotel.

Tried all the snacks and we really loved everything. It was my first time at Kozhikode and i loved the people and their food.

Best restaurant for snacks at Kozhikode. Very busy restaurant. Service is pretty good. Mutton cutlet, samosa, chicken pola, I tried were very tasty. Verities of mouth watering Malabar snacks available.

One of the busiest and oldest restaurants in Kozhikode started a long ago. Walkable distance from Kozhikode beach. The food which they provide is really amazing. Good ambience to have food with family and friends. Really delicious dishes and very famous for different types of Chai(Tea) and snacks. Its a good hotel with great food and snacks. Perfect for someone visiting Kozhikode and want to have a taste of the city. Famous for many of there special unique food items. The service is good, Beef and Mutton Biriyani is really very tasty, Bread Fry is Special. Afternoons are bit crowded here and you can expect queues. Whenever I have visited there will be a number people waiting outside for getting a seat and it is really worth waiting. The management is not providing any reservation. Have the variety of tasty foods (I have ever tasted) available with moderate rates. The place is always crowded and the services are really very good. Friendly staff and down to earth management. Interior works are really very nice. Parking location is approximately 50 meters away from the hotel. There’s limited parking space in front. The area is crowded due to another hotel nearby. I really suggest this hotel, Worth a visit. Worth a visit.

Tried their mutton and chicken biriyani, chicken 99 and kallummakkaya. Every dishes were top notch.

They got a good parking slot near to the restaurant and the parking fee can be redeemed while paying the bill.
