When it came to choosing schools for their wards (boys) when I was of the age to start my post preparatory school which started from class nursery, their was little choice for most parents in those days, not only in Guwahati but in the whole of Assam. There was one school who’s name clearly above and apart from all other schools private or otherwise , which was Don Bosco high school panbajar, which laid right in the centre of Guwahati’s educational hub panbajar, which also happened to be the same area of the city , where in also stood the prestigious cotton college , the then dream institution of higher studies, including higher secondary +12 for most Assamese households with yong men and women who were just beginning to put their first step into early adult hood outside the protective radar views of their guardians and teachers who for most of us were the only supreme law , the most enlightened and the most powerful being who had ever existed. Whose words were authority and meant to be upheld for peaceful call existence of the world. It won’t be wrong to say 45% to upto 60% at times the toppers from the class is 10 secondary board of the state were guys from the same institution .It won’t be wrong to say it must have been one of the most pressurized entrance exam a 4 year olds anywhere in India had to go through for a seat in that institution. It’s not an exaggeration if I compared it today with an IIT or Iim entrance, the kind of pressure that we felt while appearing for Donbosco school panbajar entrance . There were countless instances when parents reduced their children’s age officially, by through affidavits made fairly or unfairly because their son couldn’t make it on the first attempt . Such was the craze of getting your son a seat in this historical and proud institution

Very lively school. An English medium school of very good quality. Students are made competitive. It is a missionary run institution from the beginning. Buildings, Hostels, Gardens inside and other infrastructures are contemporary. It succeeded to attract and create talents from the entire north eastern states.

The road is too narrow and don't have enough space for parking.

I had my best schooling life here and can't think of any other school better then this. If you are reading this then without any doubt I would say go for don Bosco without any doubt. I'm pretty sure you will have some best part of your life like every bosconain that had pass out from here.

One of the most reputed and famous school of Guwahati and entire Assam. It is a missionary school and under CBSE. The school is proper mixture of ethics, knowledge and ability to train future leaders. Every child here grows up to be the best. Nice playground and with lots of other activities taught at school. Teacher are warm and friendly. Education system is quite remarkable here.

As a visitor I could observe~ Nice infrastructure. Big playground. Lot's of extra curricular activities. Hope everything is good and fine. But they should note that they shouldn't treat the candidates appearing for external examination conducted in the school like little kids in their schools.

i dont know if the teachers of upper primary are not good but as currently in 4th grade,every thing is pretty good.Teachers,Students,etc.Really is 1 of the best schools here in guwahati.

This is the best place for anyone who wants to have a good time in school. Everyone one of us here is like a big family....everyone here are really great to bring up a smile in our face even in the hardest times. Talking about academics I would give a 5 star...teachers are highly qualified and with lots of experience. But, there is still room left for improvement, it would be really nice to see just a little improvement in high school. They have well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology and maths. The classrooms are really big and clean for almost 60-70 students to sit comfortably. Now about infrastructure, they have got everything ever imagined, starting from indoor swimming pool, indoor table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball courts( four courts), badminton courts( four), football and cricket field, martial arts rooms and gym. Don Bosco school has at least 4-5 halls for students. They are the Assembly hall, parliamentary hall, Mama Magret hall, A medium sized meeting hall in the higher secondary school,etc. The school also have two library and computer labs. It also have a art room, music hall, dance hall,etc. The school also have 2 canteens and a ice creams parlour.It has a church and a catholic prayer hall. Each class has a smart board which have access to internet. The school also provides bus and van services to most places of Guwahati. The environment is friendly, peaceful and includes a large part of nature. The results of DON BOSCO school, Guwahati are among the best in Assam every year, be it class 10, 12, Neet or JEE, etc. This year's cbse class 12 results have from this school is among the best, all the stream toppers- science, commerce and humanities got a percentage of 97.4. It is one of the top senior secondary schools in Guwahati. The classes are from KG up to twelve. The school has good infrastructure, playground inside the campus and swimming pool. Other sports and cultural activities are also offered by the school in very reasonable fees. Canteen facility is also available inside the campus.

I am in class 10 now. I am going to study my 11th n 12th in don bosco. Wanna complete 12 years of my life in this school. I don't have words to say about this school. Smart board in each class and in each section, highly qualified teachers, and what not!!! Three food stores- school canteen, prime bakes, ice cream parlour n coffee store. Beautiful place with gardens and birds, rabbits, aquariums. Many many events are held and the best thing — Children's Day where teachers perform for the students. Best school ever for having a life time memory and bright future❤
