Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park

The zoo is very big and neatly maintained. First time visiting this zoo with family. A lot of a variety of animals are there.
I visited on a Sunday, and I see a lot of people, including school children.

Note that for people who visit for the first time, the entrance ticket is Rs.70 per person.
There are a lot of options thru which we can roam,
1. Our own car - need to pay addition Rs.750 per car
2. Electric cars - A lot of battery cars exist. They charge rs.70 per person. They drop in various points, and we can see and board other battery car.
3. Bicycle- we can take rental bicycles and roam.
4. Electric bikes - we can hire electric bikes and return them.
5. Finally - if we wish yo walk, yes, it's free 😃
We need to buy separate tickets for Lion Safari. They take in separate bus for 20 mins. We can see the animal next to the bus and enjoy.

At each point where we board battery vehicles, there are some shops where we can buy snacks and juices to get ourselves refreshed.

Worth of spending money. We can complete the entire visit in 3 - 4 hours.

A huge and spacious zoo, which is in a travelers hub. The fares are priced nominally. The enclosures for animals are not close to each other and located with pretty good distance from each other. The best part about this zoo is that they allow private vehicles inside the facility which is a great move which as it helps people to a great extent. The zoo also has electric buggy cars which is also used by people without personal cars. The zoo also has lion safari drive with covered velicle.

Amazing views throughout the visit. The good thing is they have provided large space to each animal to move around. People are so helpful and nice environment.

For me it is one of the best zoo in Thirupathi. It is well arranged and neatly maintained .

I have visited there on my way to Thirupathi temple and we spent a quality time there .

Few things to note

It is very difficult to cover all the zoo by walking

We can use own vehicle inside with a ticket but it will be very difficult for us to find the locations

We have taken buggy and covered the entire zoo with in 1.5 hours.

Lion safari also there . It’s a small circle but it will be a wonderfull experience we can watch lions roaming around our bus

The tirupati zoo is better before compare to now, because there are no animals and if you want to go in car inside costing 700/- rs for car and public fee is seperate.. not a good experience 👍

Ticket price 50. Zoo isn't very large. But animals look well fed and cared for. The best part was the options to use eco bikes or scooters instead of just the vehicle to roam around in the zoo.

Biggest Zoo in AP ... Mostly recommended for kids and children and who haven't visited any zoo before...

We went with Group of 3 friends took cycles enjoyed alot,...

Was it the greatest zoo I've been to? No. Was it the best zoo in India? Nope.

BUT, if you're in Tirupati looking for a fun outing this place is nice. Very well maintained, lots of facilities. You can rent a cycle, or electric bikes (₹300 an hour) or enter with your own car ( expensive).

The animals are well taken care of. There is plenty of space for each animal as the zoo is very big.

Fun day with the family.

A must visit place in Tirupathi, all age groups of people will get new experience.
Lion safari will give a real wildlife experience.
By walk it'll take 3 to 4 hours
By battery car / ebike 2 hours
By own car it'll take 1.5 hours to 3 hours my suggestion is try to spend half day to explore.

This place is so huge and superb, well maintained well organised…..

I would suggest to take both electric and tiger safari rides.

There are even bikes you can rent them and roam .

It was an awesome experience at SV Zoo, Tirupati. Mainly my son enjoyed the Lion Safari and mostly the visiting timings of the zoo for best seeing the animals is Morning Before 11:00 Am and afternoon after 2:00PM.

Life's best Zoo experience till date..What an amazing place to be with your family....Saw many animals in abundance like Different breeds of Lion , and most importantly the White Bengal Tiger....the Lion safari is something you should never miss....Whoever visiting Tirupati please visit this place post your darshan...It's near from Tirupati station...hire a cab and you wl reach in no time....A must visit and an experience you wl never forget

Very very good place for lovers students and lovers can be enjoying lot and also kids can be enjoying lot. I would like to recommend for all families ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏾

Zoo was very nice. I visited with my family members. All types of animals and birds 🐦here. Best place for kids and families enjoying in weekends. Note; Tuesday is a Holiday.
I visited a week ago. It opens 9 am in the morning and closes 5 pm everyday. Food and beverages not allowed. We can buy bicycles here for go around the zoo. Located at Near by tirupathi.

The zoo here is excellent and quite wide spread!!!
They allow us to take our own Car inside which I haven't seen anywhere in India so far, it was a very good experience!!!

There is a government shop within the zoo which is quite decent!!!

However, the eatery shops inside the zoo should be regularised a lot!!!
They charge Rs 10 over MRP on most of the items which I think is highly unfair!!!

Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park, located on the foothills of Seshachalam hills in Tirupati,Andhra Pradesh............It is the largest zoological park in Asia interms of area.............Established in the year 1987,the zoo spreads over an area of 1254 hectares in Tirupati Reserve Forest Extn.............The park is named after Lord Venkateswara ,the presiding deity of Tirumala Venkateswara temple.........Developed on mythological theme,the park highlights the role of animals in mythology and spreads the message of conservation of nature with mythological impetus😍...........Here the animals are exhibited in wider and natural enclosures resembling their natural habitats..................we can explore zoo through battery bicycles, battery car or your own 4wheels....................
The zoo is managed by the forest department, and there is also a small shop inside selling local art and crafts...... This is one of the best places in Tirupati to let children have a good time too!.....
Lion safari is also exciting......... It is about 15 minutes............

SV zoo was a 10kms+, and best with visiting with friends and family
best experience. and tuesday holiday.

Definitely worth visiting place… Don’t miss to see lion…. Closest I have ever seen.
