Place get sold out by 1pm max try to reach there by 11am or atleast before 12pm.

Depending upon your place of say you can walk there to take E rickshaw.

There super spicy is not that spicy that one one cannot handle.

The best place in Amritsar, the kulcha chole was mouthwatering. Must must visit place for each and everyone. Do come via rickshaw and don’t use own car to visit the place. High chances of waiting time of 30 minutes.

No doubt the tastiest and purest combo of "Kulche-Chole" your taste buds will ever experience.

The atmosphere of this shop is so lively and full of hungry people lusting over kulchas prepared in the purest ghee you will ever taste. They give you boiled chola, sour syrup and Kulcha as a combo.

They have two variants of kulcha, The medium and the spicy one. The spicy one definitely tingles your taste buds with a sudden burst of spices and worth tasting for spice lovers.

All and all, an experience to have.

Ensure you visit there for breakfast before 10 to enjoy your food without any crowd and at your pace. They offer two options - Medium & Spicy ( I went ahead with this one and loved it). Don’t leave Amritsar without visiting this place

Pehalwan Kulcha Shop
The place has been operational since 1953 and serves authentic and delicious Amritsari Kulchas. Their kulchas are super crispy, flaky and delicious. Choles here are very basic, You can spice it up with the imli pyaaz chutney.

They have just 2 variants Spicy & Regular Aaloo Pyaaz Kulcha.

The Kulcha here is priced at 90 bucks and thats one reason now locals dont swear by this place but for us this is the best kulcha in whole Amritsar.

Good place to eat old school type food... 2 type kulcha.. medium spicy and spicy..

Good place to eat in the market... Kulchas as crisp and soft from inside..you will get channa's as a side dish and onion chutney is a must try.

Delicious bread made from a clay oven and served with chickpea curry and onion salsa. You can choose standard bread or chilli topping for the bread, we chose chilli and it was very tasty. The place is filled with locals, is kept clean and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend if in Amritsar. We paid 180 rupiah for 2 people.

Amazing kulchas! The filling with aloo and gobhi and some cracked Dhaniya gave a very unique taste. The kulchas were hot, flaky, crispy and really well made. The chole was low key on spice and flavour which kept the spotlight properly on the dynamite kulchas!

The place is operational since 1953 and serves authentic and delicious Amritsari Kulchas. Their kulchas were super crispy, flaky and buttery. It went very well with the chhole they provided. If you plan to visit this place for lunch, make sure you visit before 1 or so as they close the shop by 2 and sometimes stock runs out by 1.30 only.

I had heard about this shop from many people.when i have go there than saw very big waiting lines.

If you want to taste authentic kulcha and love it then you should come to this place. This might not be that hygienic but the taste is surreal and sabji that comes with the Kulcha is amazing.

The staffs are also good in behaviour and overall I loved it.

I had enjoyed my first meal of the day at pehlwan kulche wala and it was really delightful. The richness of the taste made me lick my fingers. I tried their Amritsari kulcha with chole and onion chutney and i was amazed by the taste. I highly recommend you to give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

One has to wait for their turn in line for like 20-30 minutes but worth it. The Kulchas are just sublime & totally worth the hype. They serve simple dish with utmost dignity & principles. You have to wait in line patiently that's the only catch. Don't judge them by their shop's appearance because the food is simple & genuine. Recommended

This is the best place and one of the first place I tried Kulcha ever since I arrived at Amritsar. I went for luncha and they were out of stock by 1pm. If u need to grab 2 kulchas atleast then be there before 12pm.
I savored every bite of kulcha, it was cripsy, yummy and my tummy was more than happy 😊😁

We had our breakfast at Pehelwan Kulcha, they only serve kulcha in the shop and they ask you if you want a spicy kulcha or a normal one.

We had their kulcha (spicy), and the taste was amazing. It is one of the best kulchas we had in Amritsar.

On the outside the kulcha is extremely crispy and it loaded with desi ghee. The cholle served with the kulcha are not spicy and the onion chutney is tangy in taste.

The staff at the place is friendly and the service is quick. Even after so many people sitting in the shop to eat they took maximum 7-8 minutes to give us our order.

It's a must try in Amritsar, one of the best!

The best Kulchas in Amritsar by far. Do not go anywhere else. These guys are living right upto the hype. Amazing taste. Kulchas like nowhere else. Totally amazing. Don't go for the ambience, luxury this that... Just go for the food it's totally worth it. Don't go to Brothers, Kulcha land and all... Just go here for trying the best Amritsari kulchasa. Also: they go out if stock by 2Pm. Do not go later than that. 5 star for the food.

Pehalwan/pehlwan/pahelwan Kulcha is far far far better than any other kulcha stores of Amritsar. So if you want to taste a great food, do yourself a favour, walk a bit and reach here.

Great food is not found in the profound five star restaurants or in your room at comfort of the room service, it is also not found right outside the main attractions. To taste the best and authentic food, you have to reach far in the heart of City which passes through narrow streets, tall houses and old buildings.

Pehlwan Kulcha is one of such greatest place to have authentic Amritsari kulcha ( they neither keep, nor entertain any requests for butter or cheese) and serve directly out of the tandoor with Desi Ghee.

A place where Mr. Imtiaz Ali himself come for the food.

Kulchas are served with Chhole and chutney sprinkled with raw onions (you can have unlimited chhole) and are available in two types only, mirch wale (spicy) or normal, cold drinks and water is available on MRP.

If you are visiting it on weekends or little late after 10 AM, be ready to stand in queue for hours almost for having that one Kulcha. But tryst me, it will be all worth it.

Great flavors
One kulcha can cost you 70/- Rs. (1-2 kulcha is enough for a person) (i felt it to be little expensive as i get 2 kulcha in just 30/- Rs in delhi)

The taste and flavors of this kulcha is all to new level.
