One of the best meals I have eaten in Amritsar! Its truly a gem that everyone should visit! The Kulcha here is absolutely to die for. Its so soft, buttery, flaky and delicious! They have a few variants of kulcha but my absolute favourite is the aloo kulcha which is generously doused with butter. And the side serving of pickled onions and chole is divine. They dont have much seating but everyone is very adjusting and you can easily share tables with strangers. Its a truly amazing experience!

Kulcha is amazing here! We tried Aloo, paneer and gobi. The gobi was hands down the best one 😀 it was super soft and yummy! 🤤 it’s a small stall not good ambience but a perfect spot for excellent street food Kulchas. Would definitely recommend it 👍

Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulcha wale is one of the oldest food places in all of amritsar. Situated near the Ghantaghar of Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) Amritsar. They have been selling Kulchas for generations now and they Maintain quality and consistency. Their place is quite crowded in morning hours especially from 9-1 but even then they try to serve at an incredible pace. It's a must place for food lovers and bloggers.

This was a nice place after searching so many kulchas this was in a good location and also famous. The mix kulcha was better than the aloo kulcha. Also get the lassi along with it.

Amazing kulchas . Crisp and even crust . Soft filling inside . Sure you can’t get these anywhere else in any other city . The chutney is delicious with onions and carrots.
Only issue you don’t get a proper sitting but it’s Fine .

In my each and evey Amritsar visit, just after taking blessings from Sri Drabaar Sahib (Sri Harmandir Sahib or Golden Temple), I rush to this place.

Eating here since 2013 & they never disappointed even a single time. Always found fresh, crunchy & super yummy Kulchas here.

One of the best place to bring your family for a ultimate Punjabi Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch.

In my last visit on 1st Jan. 2024, first time I was in waiting for almost 20 minutes. May be this is due to heavy crowd of devotees who want blessings of Guru Sri Ramdas Ji on New Year.

Closing time is 4:00PM, so plan to reach here by 3:45PM.

Highly recommended.

All the kulchas are good but paneer kulcha is the best, hands down. Very generously stuffed. Soft. With a big chunk of butter on top. All kulchas are severed with Chole and Chutney, personal favourite is Alva chutney but it is seasonal (you’ll get it in winters only). Seating area is not that good but it’s fine for a small restaurant. A MUST TRY.

Today I visited this shop, the shop is small and not accommodate more people’s. The decorations of the shop is below average. As per my point of view for taste of Kulcha is excellent. The kulcha is serve with cholle and chatni. Both dishes and Kulcha taste is tremendous. Everyone who visited Golden Temple must visited this place and try Kulcha. I Recommended 😊😊

One of the places in Amritsar which is very underrated. One of the best places to go for breakfast and lunch . This place serves chole kulcha and believe me they are one of the best I tried in Amritsar . We tried their paneer kulcha and allo kulcha and both were really good especially the aloo oone . The chole was very tasty and delicious . The cherry on the cake was their chutney which I really liked very much. The only thing to remember is they accept only cash so carry cash and don't rely on any online mode of payment. Also this place is closed in the evenings to visit here in the morning afternoon itself. Also do their lassi which was very heavy and and tasteful

One of the best place to eat chole kulcha and lassi in Amritsar, the service and the taste of food was amazing I can't describe in words, and the price is also reasonable for all the food items, this place is little bit of busy, you can wait outside this restaurant for your turn to enter

Same taste every time you visit them. Only complaint is that they should upgrade this place. It gives good old school vibe but the amount of people visit them, this place feels congested.

Nestled in the heart of the city, the Old Restaurant is a hidden gem that has been serving its loyal patrons for several decades. Known for its exclusive focus on kulcha, this quaint eatery has stood the test of time, consistently delivering flavors that transport diners to a bygone era.

The menu, although simple, showcased an impressive range of kulcha varieties that catered to every taste bud. From the classic plain kulcha to stuffed options like potato, paneer, and onion, each dish was crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. The kulchas were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, offering a delightful contrast of textures.

The only aspect that slightly detracted from the experience was the limited seating capacity, which often resulted in longer wait times during peak hours. However, the waiting was well worth it once the kulchas arrived at the table, piping hot and bursting with flavor.

In terms of affordability, the Old Restaurant offered excellent value for money. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and authenticity of the dishes served. Each bite felt like a journey through time, an opportunity to savor the traditional flavors that have captivated generations.

Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchiyan Wale, what a beauty!
Just as its auspicious name, you get served with auspicious Amritsari Kulche here,
This shop is my Bachpan ka pyaar,

You get 5 options from Kulche to choose from, Aloo, Paneer, Gobhi, Mix and pithi along with lassi...(Must try paneer one, my personal favourite)

You get served with amritsari chole, khatti chutney and seasoned achaar (amla/aam/gajar) which ofcourse you can refill as much as you want, infact they will be happy to serve you more and more with a smile, and that is what Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchiyan Wale is known for!

I highly recommend everyone to try its amritsari kuche and chole!

In one word: Delicious 😋
I am from West Bengal and we are crazy about good food... I have had Kulcha at so many places but trust me, by far this is the best one that I can think of, specially the Mixed Kulcha. If you are walking down the streets of Amritsar, take a moment and satisfy your hunger with Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchian Wale. You will not regret it. We have ordered a Mixed Kulcha and an Aloo Kulcha. They will serve with Chhole and Onion Salad. We were charged 150 rupees only.
Location is close to Golden Temple.

I’ve never had better Amritsari kulche. We tried their aloo & mix Kulcha in breakfast, and instantly fell in love. Their pyaz chutney served alongside is out of the world. Kulcha so flaky, that you cannot resist yourself.
