One of the best well maintained temple I have ever visited. The way they respected all the people who visited the temple is amazing. Not even in single place they scolded or treated people unequally and the maintenance of the surroundings and bathroom is mind blowing . The Annadhanam they provided was the best. One should visit this temple at-least once in a lifetime. and please avoid giving biscuits and buns to wild animals. They are not meant to eat those junk items

This shrine holds great significance for Hindus, offering unparalleled peace and joy during Lord Venkateshwara Darshans. Due to its popularity, it can get very crowded, so here are some useful tips for visitors:

1. Ensure to book Darshan tickets in advance through the official website.
2.There are various types of Darshans available, so choose according to your beliefs and budget. Remember, the amount paid is considered a donation utilized by TTD for good causes.
3.Weekdays typically have fewer crowds compared to weekends.
4.You can either walk up to the temple from Allipiri or rear side of the hill called Sri Vari Mettalu (this time it took us 1 hr 20 minutes by walk) or use transportation.

Kindly note: post recent incident, kids below 12 years are not allowed to climb the hill between 2 pm to next day 5 am.

We visit this place approximately once every 3-4 months and always return with renewed enthusiasm. Since decades TTD consistently excels in building, improving, and maintaining this sacred site. We see the changes and better facilities for pilgrims.

I have visited temple yesterday. Very pleasant and blessed . Less crowded this time , I used to visit Tirumala two months once . Best time to visit during bramosthavalu ( huge crowd will be there ) but we can see so many programs also visit during vaikunta ekadashi so we can get to see venkateswara swamy very near .
Sharing my journey ……!
We came to Tirumala through srivari mettu so we took Divya Darshan token at 50th step . We took room near CRO office and got fresh up and heading towards Darshan , entered around 1:45 to Q line and reached to Vaikuntam complex by 2:45 and waited for almost 5 hours , later they opened gate and Darshan completed within 1 hr , seen Venkateswara swamy for 30 secs , so blessed . We took laddus from laddu counter , 1 laddu free for Divya Darshan token holders , if you need extra laddu it will cost 50 RS per laddu. We heading toward vengamamba anna prasadam centre and ate food there and return back to room and rook rest. Morning return back to home. Can reach Tirumala 4 options by own vehicle or bus , can walk through srivari mettu (very short and token will get near 50th step but we need to reach this by 6AM , can reach to entrance by own vehicle or rented vehicle)or alipiri mettu (best experience you will get but risky also for aged persons and leg pain people , Divya Darshan token we need to get bhudevi complex , so need to Reach that place midnight only , so they will start giving tokens by 5:30 ) , if bus or own vehicle (need to get SSD tokens near bus stand , railway station …etc or else we can book 300 ticket prior month ) . Suggest to not come directly for Darshan , not sure how much time will take to complete . Also take 300 ticket or ssd or Divya Darshan.

Srinivasa Govinda, Shri Venkatesha Govinda.
Blessed with the Darshan this time it's huge queue.
I visited earlier also pre COVID but now the rush is too much.
It's really tough to book the sheegra darshan tickets.

I visited Tirupati with my friends from Chennai. We visited the famous Tirupati temple. A beautiful place and very well managed. The temple premises is awesome. The whole process of darshan is seamless. A must visit place for everyone.
During Dvapara Yuga, Adishesha resided on earth as Seshachalam Hills after losing a contest with Vayu. According to Puranas, Tirumala is regarded as Adivaraha Kshetra. After killing Hiranyaksha, Adivaraha resided on this hill. Venkatachala Mahatyam is the widely accepted legend over Tirumala Temple.
The first recorded endowment was made by Pallava queen Samavai in the year 966 CE. She donated many jewels and two parcels of land (one 10 acres and other 13 acres) and ordered to use the revenues generated from that land for the celebration of major festivals in the temple.

Try to book in advance for darshan as well as journey tickets.

If you have a token, then the average time to get the darshan is around 3-6 hours. And if you are visiting without tokens into free / sarv darshan line then the time for darshan can be around 10 to 24 hours

Food, water, toilets everything is there for free. Don't get trapped for the jeeps and tourist vehicles.

They have free bus service at tirumala. And even for the tourism their charges are minimal.

Tirumala is a popular pilgrimage destination in Andhra Pradesh, India, where the famous Tirumala Temple is located. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Vishnu, and attracts millions of devotees every year.

According to the web search results from Bing, here are some of the reviews about Tirumala from the travellers who visited the place123:

Tirumala is a peaceful place with mesmerizing architecture and good crowd management. However, the queue for darshan (the act of seeing the deity) can take several hours, even with the special tickets. Therefore, it is advisable to have proper planning and patience before visiting the temple.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is the trust that manages the temple and its activities. It is praised for its transparency, maintenance, and services. It also provides free buses, food, and accommodation for the pilgrims. However, some travellers faced issues with the online booking system and the barcode recognition of the tickets.

Tirumala is a place where one can feel the presence and blessings of Lord Venkateswara. The temple is well maintained and decorated with flowers and jewels. The prasadam (the food offered to the deity and distributed to the devotees) is delicious and sacred. The temple staff and volunteers are helpful and courteous.

Overall, Tirumala is a must-visit place for anyone who wants to experience the spiritual and cultural richness of India. However, one should also be prepared for the challenges of travelling, queuing, and following the rules of the temple. Tirumala is not just a tourist spot, but a sacred place where one can connect with the divine. 🙏

It is one of the most auspicious pilgrimage sites in India. The whole place is very well planned, barricaded with proper attention given to the number of visitors coming here every day.

My only word of advice is, if you couldn't handle the long queues, pushing around & waiting. Only visit here after booking your ticket for special entry (300Rs), at Airport they also offer one VVIP Darshan tickets which comes at a price of 10,500 Rs.

Visit to this Holy place will leave you spiritually elevated 🙏

Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple located in the hills of Tirumala at Tirupati is one of most divine pilgrimages visited throughout the year by devotees from all over the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara (also known as Balaji, Govinda, Srinivasa) referred to as an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The temple is managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam of Govt of AP. Tirumala hills comprise of seven peaks, representing the seven heads of Adisesha and the temple lies on the seventh peak; hence temple is referred as Temple of Seven Hills. The nearest city Tirupati is approachable by rail, road and air (Renigunta/ Tirupati Airport). The drive from Tirupati to the Tirumala Hill is picturesque and well managed. Tirupati city is bustling with visitors and has many hotels to stay, many restaurants serving various cuisine and markets catering to the devotees. It is important that a devotee gets the Darshan Passes from online to enter the Hills. The temple is very crowded on festival occasions, holidays and weekends.

Om namo Venkatesaya 🙏

Smooth darshan can be obtained by advance booking of darshan ticket & accomodation.
However free darshan is also possible by visit to place which is highly not recommended during vaikuntha ekadashi..

Laddu prasada costs 50rs small one and 200rs for big one.. there is vada prasada cost 100rs per unit.. limited laddu prasada per person is given. Better to have multiples of 100rs note for laddu prasada as they ask for it.

Satisfaction guaranteed after u complete Darshan.. It was very wonderful experience. After waiting for 8 hrs, finally we got Darshan at 9.30 pm. Special entry token is must, if u want to avoid waiting period.

One cannot express the vibes that they get once they see lord Balaji. That feeling is something one will experience once they visit the temple. You toil a lot to enter the final phase , feet will be paining, legs will be painful but once you enter the final phase you don’t see any pain and all eyes on the lord Balaji. And then comes laddu- you eat and then you lost . Must visit place

The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is a magnificent architectural marvel , showcasing Dravidian and Vijayanagara styles. The temple complex includes several gopurams (monumental gateways), mandapams (halls), and shrines. The sanctum sanctorum, where the deity resides, is made of pure gold.

Devotees offer various forms of worship to Tirupati Balaji, including darshan, puja (prayers), and offerings of hair, money, and food. The temple is famous for its prasadam, or consecrated food, which is believed to be imbued with the deity's blessings. The most popular prasadam is the Tirupati Laddu, a sweet made with ghee, sugar, and nuts.

If you are planning a visit to Tirupati, be sure to book your darshan tickets in advance, as the wait times can be long. You can also book accommodation and transportation through the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the temple administration.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when visiting Tirupati:

* Dress modestly. Men should wear dhotis or kurta pyjamas, and women should wear saris or salwar kameez.
* Do not carry leather items, such as wallets or belts, into the temple.
* Mobile phones are not allowed inside the temple complex.
* Photography is not allowed inside the temple.
* Be respectful of other devotees.

I hope this information has been helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
