Shree Vishweshwar Temple

Very old structure beautiful temple of Lord Shankar (महादेवाची पिंड) constructed by Rajmata Ahilyadevi Holkar (Indore) in 1707. This is located on Ganga Godawari Ghat.

This place is located on the bank of Godavari River. It is developed by Municipality of Nashik and now it become more attractive.
The Nashik city have great history in concern with Hindu Religious. It is believed that when Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman went into exile for 14 years, they made Panchavati their home. The word literally means 'Garden of Five Banyan Trees'. The trees can still be seen in the temple premises near Sita Gufaa and are believed to have existed even during the times of Ramayana.

This is very old Shiva temple. Created by Ahilyabai Holkar. Good architecture of olden days. Still it is in very good condition.
