St. Olav's Church ( C.N.I ) - Serampore

This is a protestant church under CNI. This old church established by danish. This church had restored few years back. This church used as backdrop in famous film 'Antony firingi'.

What a serene place is this. Been there quite a few times and everytime I got there it feels energetic. This place has a rich history which helps it becoming one of the prominent place in Serampore. Being a Dutch monument this place holds history from 1806. After the restoration by The National Museum of Denmark’s Serampore , Serampore College and the diocese of Kolkata from '13-'16, this place become a great attraction all together. St. Olav's Church even recieved the UNESCO Award of Distinction for Cultural Heritage Conservation which boost its cultural prominence.

The recent visit was from a Christmas Eve. Atlastly,you should visit St. Olav's Church for its rich history and majestic cultural blend and the beauty it possess.

St. Olav's Church is a protestant church in Serampore, West Bengal, India. Also known as St Olave's Danish Church, it was built in the early 19th century, when the area was part of Fredriksnagore, then a small (50 km²) colony of Denmark. The building is now jointly controlled by the Church of North India (CNI) and Serampore College Council.

St. Olav's Church holo is one of the oldest churches in Srirampur. The architecture inside and outside the church is very beautiful. On 25th December, 31st December, 1st January and other occasions, the church is decorated very beautifully. It looks more beautiful then. The atmosphere inside this church is very beautiful and peaceful.

This regal church has been in existence since 1806 AD and has stood the test of time. A few years back The Danish missionary renovated the church and is open to service.

It is located at the holy bank of Ganga at Serampore, Hooghly dist, West Bengal, India. Serampore court, post office is near to this place.
