Very good place for devotees.. We were actually on time for darshan so fortunate 🙏
If you are visiting first time let me tell you there is timings for darshan morning 9am-2pm along with ann daan after 2pm the gates will be closed and reopen 4pm-9pm..

A very good architecture of the Mahabharatam was constructed on the walls and the experience was very gud...
It's better to visit in the evng to enjoy the vibe of the lights n Ratham pulling also will be covered only in the evening time...
Temple will be remains opn 6am -2pm n 4pm - 9pm....
Better to visit by own vehicles because no bus facilities will be available after 8pm n beware of autowala....
The Mantralayam temple is a jeevasamadi of Raghavendra Swamy....
While going to the darshan men must remove their upper clothes(shirt,baniyan) as they said it's like giving respect to the god n our tradition...

The Guru, God - Sri Raghavendra Swamy is much powerful as he will make true the desires which have seeked him much ealry.. Pleasant environment having the Tungabadhra River back to the temple.. So happiness after tirupathi environment.. 🙏.
Male people r not allowed to wear Shirt or even banian inside to the temple. This is only some new thing. Apart from this all facilities are good..

Mantralayam is a pilgrim village located in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies on the banks of the river Tungabhadra on the borders, with the neighbouring state of Karnataka. The village is famous for the holy presence of the Vrindavana or the sacred burial of Guru Sri Raghavendra Swamy.

It is a must to wear dhoti for gents and Indian attire like sari, salwar kameez for ladies to enter the sanctum if you want to go near to the Brindavan or do aarthi on your own. A few priests don't let ladies wearing salwar kameez go near the Brindavan, so it would be ideal to wear a saree.

Mantralayam is associated with the famous saint Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy, renowned Hindu saint and philosopher. Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy, lived between 1595 and 1671 was an influential saint in Hinduism. Followers of the saint consider him to be an incarnation of Bhakta Prahallada, who was saved by Vishnu in the avatar of Narasimha. Sri Raghavendra Swamy is said to have performed many miracles during his lifetime and has a large following even today. Mantralayam is a small and peaceful town situated on the banks of the River Tungabhadra and gets thousands of devotees from all over the country. He also served as the head of Sri Mutt of Kumbakonam from 1621 to 1671.

Mantralayam is also popular for Manchalamma Temple located near the Samadhi Temple, inside the Mantralayam Mutt complex. It is a custom at Mantralayam that the devotees offer prayers at the Manchalamma Temple before visiting the Samadhi Temple. As per records, the barren land around Mantralayam along the river banks of Tungabhadra was handed over to the Mutt of Sri Raghavendra Swamy by Nawab Siddi Masud Khan of Adoni. Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple, Chinna Tumbalam, Bichchali and Alampur are the nearby attractions to Mantralayam.

The male devotees who want to perform Pooja themselves have to wear dhoti. While male devotees paying normal visit have to remove their shirt and female devotees have to wear Sarees or other traditional cloths.

Mantralayam is a pilgrimage place where Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy. This place is also called as Brindavan. This place is located on the banks of river Tungabhadra. I felt holistic inside the brindavan campus. This place will be heavily crowded during festival occasions like Guru Arradhana season. There is dress code to enter inside temple. There are 3 chariots (wooden, silver and golden) . Everyday evening silver chariot will be pulled. Weather usually bit hot during day. If one has time in the day good to visit Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple that is about 20km from Mantralayam. This place is where Raghavendra swamy worshiped Anjaneya (Hanuman). Lot of vegetarian hotels to enjoy food in Mantralayam. Lot of small shopping shops where i bought idol of swamy and few small souvenirs. There is free meal for lunch at Brindavan temple. Governament bus station is very nearby. This is holy place and not for entertainment. All devotees of Sri Raghavendra swamy must visit this place once.
