Ticket Rs 20. It is vast heritage containing tomb of sheikh chilli and has museums with very old tools and artifacts. If you are visiting kurukshetra, do visit here cauz it is such a great place for photoshoots

This tomb belongs to Sheikh Chilli who was a scholar and a teacher to Dara Shikoh, eldest son of the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. There are two tombs, a madarsa, a beautiful garden and a small archaeological museum. A second tomb is dedicated to Sheikh Chilli's wife. Sheikh Chilli's tomb has an octagonal figure, constructed from buff sandstone and has a pearl shaped marble dome that sits on its top like a crown. His wife's tomb is made from red sandstone, has a marble dome and carved floral designs. It is also believed to be similar to Taj Mahal in certain aspects.
The museum houses some seals, terracotta sculptures, ornaments, swords, etc. from various kingdoms that existed between first and seventh centuries. Most of the structures in this complex have a substantial touch of Persian architecture. The most comforting fact about Sheikh Chilli's tomb is that it's not too crowded. Visitors can see everything with peace, sit comfortably, have discussions and click pictures. The area near the main tomb offers a very good view and hence, some people even prefer to sit here for a little longer to relax.

An awesome place to spend good quality time here and knowing about some age old history and to check out old arts there is museum as well inside there.... The ticket costs Rs.20/- per person (for Indian residents) and Rs. 250/- per person (for International visitors) and is generated by visitor himself/herself only by scanning the QR code placed outside the ticket counter... Must visit place if one is visiting Kurukshetra...

This opening on the upper floor gave a direct accessibility from the Raja Harsha-ka- Tila located west of the sarai and the chamber is constructed in such a way that probably this was the place from where an authority used to address the gathering below within the sarai. West of the tomb are the ruins of Harsh-ka- Tila. Excavations conducted at this site revealed a continuous habitation at the site from about the first century A.D. to the late Mughal period. The findings of a few sherds of painted Grey Ware along with associated plain grey, black-slipped and red wares in pre-Kushana levels also suggest the inhabitation of the site in the first millennium B.C.

I love turning the pages of history. And this, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the tomb of Sheikh Chilli, the famous Sufi saint who not only came to India but also came to be known as the spiritual teacher of Mughal prince Dar Shikoh. The monument is well kept and is also called the 'Taj Mahal of Haryana'.

This is beautifully maintained Centrally Protected Monument under Archaeological Survey of India. This monument consists of two Archaeological museums which have a numbers of Antiquities Art objects exacavated which is a great source of Ancient History.

Amazing place to explore in Kurukshetra City. Good place to click some pictures. Ticket price is very reasonable. There is an open area to have a picnic with family and friends.
