A good time to visit this place is after 5PM to get the best view of Sunset with a lake front.
Also a better Weekend gateway.
Can go on a Long drive from Hyderabad.

Its very nice place and great weekend gateway from Hyderabad just 30 Km away .. during weekend you can go for a day trip .. you can also enjoy fishing there and no one will be disturbing you 😉 not even cops ... neat and calm place

Very big lake, wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views around. Evening views are awesome. Right next to the highway, easy to access.

Great place to visit for a casual evening. You can spend time near the lake only will evening 5 post that police would come n send you out. However you can enjoy the sun set or sunrise standing on the bridge which is equally a great view

Shamirpet lake is one of the beautiful lakes of Hyderabad, that is situated on siddhipet highway.

It was once a major water source too for the nearby areas and now the lake is again restored by the government of telengana.

Thanks to the local MLA who also has contributed to the welfare and development of the lake.

But the lake is unguarded at several places and not safe.

It is also risky to go near the water as we don't know how shallow it is.

Be careful and watch yourself when you walk around the lakefront or over the lakeside. During the rainy season the water level is also high be careful.

But the lake has quiet beautiful sunset view.

From Gandimaisamma this place is 22km far away. The Route is very nice. This place is very clean only some areas neraby the bridge is dirty.
I was going there with my friend on my bicycle from gandimaisamma. A Small masque is nearby 1 Km also there.
This place have a Bigger words in telugu latters meaning bangaram Telangana or Sone ka Telangana.
This place have two small open huts for relaxing or sitting here.
One 10 inch boundary is here before the lake water for safety purpose.
Don't go so nearby of lake water because it is deeper from the bottom. Don't take Risk.

Relaxing and calm. My favorite way to spend time, I love them. Perfect for chilling, fishing, boat rides, swimming, reading, and anything else.
Lakes are very peaceful! I would not wish for them to be removed at any time. Although I do suggest you fix a bug where the insect spawn rate is higher near them, otherwise, very nice and helpful to up your character’s swimming level.
Going to a lake is a pretty good way of getting rid of the "bored" status. If you buy a snorkel and swim underwater, it gives you a 10% boost to your mood, if your character likes water of course.
Lakes can be described in the most practical and evident sense as a waterbody which is a localized water resource. The lakes are surrounded by land. The lake gets its water supply from the drainage of the river. Lakes are not any part of the ocean while it forms a major part of the earth’s water cycle, just like the huge oceans.
Great spot for relaxing. Too many water bugs though. Also, too damp. Maybe you could make it a bit less humid?

Shamirpet lake very near to outer ring road and it's in highway side. Now a days this lake polluted with wastes. The locals literally throwing rubbish on this reservoir, especially throwing pooja wastes and liquor bottles. It's a big lake and lots of birds and other specious are staying here. It's coming under Telangana tourism and O believe it's abandoned. Nor maintenance or any security person over here. The sunset is amazing at this place however very bad smell coming from the lake due to pollution.

Well this is a polluted lake not suitable for swimming or fishing
Due to rituals being done her there is lot of garbage and idols present floating and
This not suitable for touring as well because this place has no resting spot around.
We saw many people(Hindus) from the temple right beside the lake dumping off things and continuously polluting it.
This a very large lake spread across several hundreds of kilometers.
There was a cool breeze over the lake and was refreshing

Wonderful place to enjoy nature...spent some quality time with family and friends.. during monsoon it's awesome place to hangout..but little maintenance is required ..

Shamirpet Lake is an Artificial Lake in Hyderabad,India. It is about 17 kms from Yapral.

The lake attracts many birds, making it a good birdwatching spot. A resort run by the Government of Telangana is located near the lake.There are many resorts and private dhabas around the lake. The Celebrity Club, Alankrita Resort, and Leonia Resorts are not very far from the lake.

Many people come here for picnics or get-togethers. Many Telugu films were shot here.

The Shamirpet Police take care of the lake as there were many cases regarding drowning. Even when I went, there were police officials not allowing people to go near to lake and click pictures as the water was too much because of heavy rain few days back. There are many Warning boards around the lake erected by the authorities.

Superb place to spend time with your beloved.Once must visit here. Lake view is tarmendous, you can sit beside lake and play with water wave.
Note:- Do come here in our own vehicle. Food facilitities are not available one or two ice cream counter will be there. Washroom facility is not available.

Very nice location for an outing. After 6 you will probably be driven away by cops but realized that this is for our own good as the plaCe is frequented by drinks and rowdy elements once it starts getting dark.

This fresh water lake is located on a hilly & rocky terrain just beside the highway. This lake looked mesmerising during dusk. The lake is very big! Sad part is tourists are spoiling it's beauty by littering plastic waste on the banks.

One of the last few beautiful lakes near Hyderabad. Hope local people preserve it and it is not ruined by pollution and illegal waste water dumping.

It picnic spot, u will not get any thing to eat or drink, u need to carry ur self, we should not get into water as we do not know depth, no rescue team,
