Located in the suburbs of Kanhangad of Northern Kerala, Vyaseshwaram Shiva Temple is one among the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Mahadeva. It is said that Saint Vyasa a revered figure in Hindu tradition observed penance here, thus the name Vyaseshwshwaram evolved out. The temple consist of a sanctum sanctorum where a Shiva Linga is installed, an idol of sub-deity of Lord Ganesha, an ancient cave, springhead and a pond of holy waters. The temple needs to be renovated at the earliest. It is bliss, mere bliss being in this celestial premises.
