Stopped by for breakfast on a Monday morning 9am, while driving back from Rameshwaram to Madurai. We were looking for a pure veg, no frills, quick service South Indian restaurant. We found this to be a perfect restaurant. Parking is available for cars upfront. Washrooms are pretty basic and somewhat messy but you can't expect better either.

Vasanthams is a very quick service oriented, pretty chaotic looking and sounding, yet uncompromising in food quality.

We had some incredible idli vadas with a nice complement of tomato, spinach and coconut chutneys. All were delicious. The sambar was perfect! Must also try the Ghee roast and Pongal. Portion sizes are very good as well. Expect to leave tummy full. The filter coffee at the end was pretty perfect as well. Our orders were delivered in under 2 minutes! So chances are the food will get cold if you order everything at once.

As long as you are okay with great food in a somewhat chaotic setup, and complety understand that you only get what you pay for, then you'll have a good time. Don't think you need to go looking elsewhere for a restaurant especially if you are driving between Madurai and Rameshwaram.

Hidden gem in the area. Humble and helpful staff members. Lots of seating available. AC and non AC sections. Quick service. Special meals are the best item here, with unlimited rice and sides. Meals available both in steel plate and banana leaf. Parking easily available right up front.

Very good restaurant with decent South Indian taste. I like here ghee roast dosa

Food was tasty..pure veg. Try when u r travelling to Rameshwaram since u wont find any such big restaurant in between...

The quality and taste of the food is better amongst other vegetarian restaurants near by. AC dining hall also available here. Located in a main junction, it makes easy to access the hotel. It has many vegetarian options, desserts, juices, north indian dishes etc. Parking is adequate enough for four wheelers. Only thing the restrooms are not hygiene and clean.

Tasty food, worth having food while on the way to rameshwaram. Serves great north Indian food. Not so spicy as well. Well mannered staff, just get a person who understands English/Hindi if you don't know the native language.

Great comforting food. We had idli , dosa and vada and each of them were awesome.

Service was fast and the person who was serving us was very very sweet.

We just had our dinner here while traveling from rameswaram to Kanyakumari. It was on the corner. The staff was helpful and polite. Food was good and reasonably priced. I would totally recommend this place for good food 😋 the best part is it is pure vegetarian

It's located in Rameshwaram main road... We went here for tea, but we had dinner also...
Yummy food, Good service, Neat and clean Place... Great parking for two wheels and four wheels available...

The atmosphere is also good but not the greatest.

Excellent south indian food, both tiffin breakfast items and lunch/dinner. All food served on plantain (banana) leaves. Very quick service. It is located right on the crossroads of two main highway. Always crowded. If you go looking for cleanliness, then you might be disappointed. But if it's the authentic vegetarian food, then this is the best place on the highway.

Chats are very good , vada ,bonda , bajji with tomato chutney , fabulous combo and coffee tea rose milk is available, you can also have a choice of sugar and brown sugar for your coffee and very cheap too

We had a memorable tiffin lunch experience on the Diwali New Year day, Nov 2018.

Awesome taste , Vada was supeerrrrrr. Service could be better.
