ORGRAM FOREST

Actually a forest of different species of long trees, especially "sonajhuri" plants. This is a conserved forest with small wild animals,not much harmful. Area is away from human locality, but some picnic spots are there that are crowded only in season. State government police always present there for security purpose. Outside the reserved zone people can enjoy shade of sonajhuri as a picnic spot. Around the forest there are some parks, resorts. But for security reasons people always try to leave the open place before evening.

Awesome palace for picnic with family and friends... Good place for Nature lovers... Two small guest house are available here... You can spend a night here... The forest is made of Shaal trees... Behind the guest house there is a big pond... It is located near the Guskara, Burdwan, in the state of West Bengal, India.

A great place to enjoy the beauty of the nature and the mystery of the forest. A sunday ride to this place is a must in the morning. I would auggest not to go there in evening as the place has low security.

It is a very beautiful forest near Gushkara/Guskara in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. The place is almost 29km from Bardhaman/Burdwan Station by road and perfect for a single day trip. However, it is recommended to visit this calm forest by car or bike. An abandoned airfield used by US army during World War 2 (Burma Campaign 1944-1945) is still there near the forest. The airfield was made by British and named as Guskhara Airfield.
