CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE is one of the most reputed and very organised hospital in India. Here, I visited for my cousin treatment in neurology department. The security guard is well mannered and helpful if you have any problem. This is one of the best Hospital in entire south India due to their facilities. If you go here first time make sure you need to stay about a month with patience because they diagnose disease deeply. Here multiple tests taken for best diagnosis. Doctor is also very helpful and supportive nature. The main problem for North-Indian People is water availability because I tested at many spot water quality but looks like some salty. They also built new campus 12 K.M away from main campus due to heavy load. Treatment is not cheaper but also not expensive.
Must visit here If you have any Neuro or chronic type disease. They diagnose very deeply and provide treatment. Overall Total experience was Fascinating.

CMC is an amazing place for patients from both inside India and abroad. It has some outstanding Departments namely Gastro-Hepatology, Neurology which lead the whole India. For international patient, it has IRO office 900B where you give the appointment copy and passport and they issue police Reporting form which should be done on the same day to the North Police Station in the evening at 7pm. They start serving you form 7 am to 12 am. So go early in the morning.

Advice: Don't give any money to police. They might ask for 50 rupee.Don’t give.

Documents Required :
1.Passport photpcopy
2. Visa photocopy
3. Immigration Seal Copy page
4. CMC vellore police reporting form
5. C Form- Given by the hotel or lodge(They take 100 rupee)

At 900B collect your Chris Card( CMC Card) if you are a first timer.

Please try to go to the previous date of dr appointment at 900B to complete formalities.

Another advice for International patient :

1. Go to 900 at silver gate to change Dr Appointment Date ( to make it earlier) or even clinic change. I did change my clinic from Hematology to Gastrology going there.

Then see as many doctors as you want.

The vellore fort is 5 minutes walk from CMC. Enjoy the fort park at evening.

From Kadpadi Train station CMC is 7 KM away. Try to use shared taxi or you have to pay 300 rupee by yourself. Sharing takes 100 rupee. Or take a public bus from the bridge.

Tourist spots near CMC :
1. Vellore fort.
2. Ratnagiri Temple( Near CMC Ranipat Campus)
3. Tirupati Balaji Temple( must visit: I have explained it in my profile)
They can be covered in 1-2 days.

If you want to go to Otti, Kerela, Pandi cherri, Karnatak. They will need 5-7 days to complete.

Other Tips:
1. Try speak English with doctors.
2. Don't Book Hotel abruptly. You can bargain and book 2-bed room within 300 rupee.
3. Try to stay near the hotel.
4. Cook by yourself. You can hire utensils at 15 rupee per day.

Treatment is so good humble doctors.
Everything is a bit expensive.
If u r Hindu pls don't eat biryani because they mix beaf and chiken ( only some stalls)

One of the best hospital in India subcontinent. The staffs, doctors and nurses are polite and helpful. The rules are strict. They do not accept any bribe. There are many middle man around the hospital who offer early appointment. Don't trust those person. A huge amount of patients are taking treatment from here. So, you should come here with online appointment which will help you to get early treatment.

This hospital is a very good place for treatment for cancer patients, kidney problems and broken bones. If you see the treatment here, you will understand why I support this hospital so much. Many people say that treatment takes more time here, which is actually a misconception, because since the opening of the new campus, medical services are now available faster. This is my own opinion shared with you.

It’s a heart of INDIA. Without this hospital you can’t imagine the quality of Medical treatment.So many facilities. New researches. Young doctors, experienced doctors.From many countries peoples are coming. Must hats off to security Guards, without them it’s not possible to control the complete ground level administration.
They are doing tremendous work at a time. Canteen food quality is at high level with reasonable price . This is for affordable to ground level person . Don’t have words . This hospital is very close to my heart.

The total system of this place is incredible. That is why they are able to offer services to this huge crowd on each calendar day. You will obviously get one of the best treatments here in India. The doctors cost and the test fees are also very reasonable. Must recommended place for Medical purposes.

One of the top 5 best hospital in India next to AIIMS.
This hospital has started around 1900(123 yrs old).
They are offering very good treatment across various departments.
Only concern is we should have patience to go through their procedures.
The Doctors and staffs are really caring each patient.
They have very good team of Security guards who is well trained to manage huge patient gathering and guiding us if any doubts.
We went here first time during covid 1 wave time and they have given uttermost care for us.
We can ask any doubts or clarification with the doctors.
We stayed here for almost 25 days.
I recommend this hospital for reliable treatment even though it will take more time.
The medical expenses is based on our choice whether we opt for General or Private appointments.
Mostly crowded at Payment counters.
They have automatic machine of around 3 units to make quick payments by using phone UPI payment.
But still they need to increase no.of automatic machines to reduce crowd in payment counters.
Car parking is mostly challenging as parking lot opposite to hospital will get full with 9.00 am.
However we can get parking lot if we wait for some time.
We can use their mobile app to make appointments or payments.
Canteens and food counters are available within the premises.
They have opened new hospital near Rathinagiri on the way to Chennai.

All the doctors well spoken with three languages - English, Hindi, Tamil

Good experience all over cmc Campus, but we have to wait to get appointments and treatments, very long process, we have to stay there for 5 - 10 days .

The lab test and doctor appointment are in different day's...

Hospital premises is too hygiene and well maintained now and then by the cleaning staffs...

It's over crowded due to weekend ...

one of the best hospitals and medical college in india...here the doctors and every staff literally treat the patients as the God...superior quality diagnostic equipment and traditional ethics are the benchmark of this institution...highly recommend it

Very nice doctors and the treatment procedures

This is the best hospital in India after AIIMS Delhi. Their doctors are the best doctors as well.
But one thing I want to share that this is the old CMC campus, new CMC is still 10 km away from it. But good thing is that CMC has internal shuttles which travel old and new campus continuously.

CMC is one of the Famous Hospital in India. Well Discipline & High profile maintained. There was several block and building. Staff and Guard behaviour as well as good .

Its very good. Hospital. .. Every one know .. Its good quality docter and their .good quality blood check .and good quality lab ..and their machine are soo powerful .i am soo thinkful to cmc this type of doing good public health care ..

Great service and strict system made this hospital unique. The interaction between doctor and patient is highly praiseworthy. In spite of huge gathering of patient the authority are cordial and committed to provide best service. Their treatment system is lengthy but 100% satisfiable. Surroundings of the hospital are neat and clean. Overall, I appreciate their rules and regulations to ensure best services.

One of the best hospital's of India. Doctors are genuine like God. Best treatment at a reasonable price. If your problems can be cure then only they will treat you otherwise they will not touch you to make money. Half of your problems will be solved just by talking to Doctor's.

This is very famous Hospital for the Bangali people. Here , there are many top level doctors in the world.
Low cost treatment here but treatment process is long . Because huge patient gather everyday.

So , if you want to take the proper treatment from the hospital , you should mast keep patience.

Amazing hospital. CMC changed my perception of doctors and super speciality commercial hospitals. Well organized. If you pre-book your appointment , everything will be in place for your patient/relative. Doctors are really good. Diagnosis process may seem time consuming but prognosis followed with treatment is always patient oriented...
Once you arrive to Katpadi junction (Vellore), CMC has an information centre at junction itself.
From there either you can take CMC bus (free but you have to wait for it) or an auto (normally charges between Rs. 150-200) to CMC main campus at vellore town. There are plethora of hotels nearby. To name a few hotel Sushil (Rs.1800/day -AC rooms), Lingam residency ( Rs. 750/day for non AC rooms), DVP Resideny (Rs. 1000/day for non AC rooms...
The main hospital is just across the road from these hotels and if you want to go to CMC ranipet campus then you can just take a 100m walk towards CMC exit gate to catch free CMC bus.....
As soon as you arrive to Ranipet campus, get your hospital number issued at registration counter by showing your appointment slip. They will also provide you appointment token no... You just need to follow the instruction and come to your respective OPD. Get your vitals checked and see your doctor..
